Human or Elf

I have a chiv fencer that is used for PvM only. My suit has max DCI, HCI and DI, plus all 70's. I run 122 hp, 144 stam and 48 mana.

I'd really like more mana, but don't want to sacrifice hp or stamina. Going elf would give more mana, but I'd loose carry capacity and JAOT bonuses. Is that all I'd loose, or would I also loose hp?

As a general rule, it's human for PvP and elf for PvM. Since you have the increased mana, you can always put more stat points into strength. You will not lose any HP's by being an elf, just weight capacity.

It will be interesting once we get the new gargoyle race, with the throwing skill advantage. I'm thinking for most PvM I'd still take the elf race for the +20 mana.

I suppose he is speaking about the 2 hp reg of humans, 2 it's not worth, it's much more valuable 20 mana, isn't it?

I have a lot of doubts about the JOAT, i've search but think there is not much info about it, what skills are joat working (or, what skills have some usefulness having 20 points!)

I had read that some skills dont work at all,
and in addition... is it worth to have, mmm, 20 focus?, 20 passive med=no, 20 mag (for lesser cure? night sight? maybe a little, 20 resisting? 20 healing? burn your mana summoning with spellweaving? maybe 20 necro for a non-embraced warrior? damm, i cannot find any useful skill at 20 level, not for a sampire.:bdh:
