An Idea: Random House Customization!

Not exactly sure, but I thought of it while trying to customize a house... I imagine this is something we wouldn't get so soon, would probably take a while for them to do it but I am sure it could be done, a random house customization program that customizes your house for you! With tens of thousands of house designs on it that could also be added in by the players..

Instead, let there be a planning board which would consist of the people within a 50 square area of your house. If they disapprove of the design...it doesn't go through.

An HOA would be nice in some cases. Houses that are nothing more than the foundation with lockdowns....

Rather than have to look at ugly houses, if there was an option on a house sign for anyone coming by to click and hide a house so you only ever saw the plot with the grass/sand/snow that it sat on showing as the first floor would be nice. Might kill a lot of lag too in the shoe box farms.

there is co-own, and friend so why not house designer. You want someone to design your house you add that player on by clicking house designer. they would have access into customize mode to design the house only once they are done customizing they leave customized mode. then the own of the house goes into customize mode commits the design. Need someone to decorate house designers would also have permission to put up add ons like the owner of the house. and have access to containers set to house designers. That would be nice

Perhaps an option on the house customisation gump that allows you to save your design onto a scroll, which can then be traded as "a house blueprint" with other players.

As a house designer you'd only need a plot that you're willing to rebuild as an example that a prospective client can walk around in and view. If they like it, you run off a blueprint and give/sell/trade it to the client.

House designs derived from blueprints (ie: you tweak a design you bought from someone else) can not be put into blueprint form and resold. This would go some way toward protecting the original designer's work. Designs created for blueprinting must be built up from an empty plot.

The only issue with that is there seem to be more people with bad taste than good (hence the original problem ), so you'd get outvoted by a committee of ugly-lovin' neighbours.

You're asking for a hard-drive placement of house-designs, like it or not.. for one it would get too bloated, for two I don't want to waste my HD space for designs. If I can't be original than I'll check out other designs to copy and make my own. This seems like another method to have people make personal trophies without any effort (I'm on all of your hard-drives beotches!)

There are very few houses I come across that actually make me stop and look at them anymore....Most of the ones I see are just some random mix mash of walls and stairs. Not very much creativity.
