any chance these eyesore creating tubs will be fixed/deleted? Arent they made when you dupe a leather dye tub? Ideally would love to see them deleted and all armor dyed by them to be bleached, we dont need any more neon trash.

Leather dye tubs that dye all colors

This is news to me where are they showing up?
I don't know what the policy is on these, but my understanding is they weren't duped. It might be considered an exploit on how they were made, but I thought they fixed that. As it stands now, leather dye tubs that can dye regular colors might just be considered rares these days. I dunno.
No, they are not a dupe. It's not a game breaking issue so I don't think it should be fixed anytime soon. And no, I don't own one or have any items dyed by one.

its just a leather dye tub that has the color selection of a normal dye tub. Currently tolerated by staff, but like all similar items that toleration is subject to change.
These were made when people sold their leather dye tubs to a NPC and bought it back. This broke their functionality and when you paged a GM to fix it, they would mess up lol. These are essentially GM created tubs

it didnt break their functionality, it allowed you to dye clothes in leather tub colours. The gold makes a very nice dress!

Is there any chance that these eye-candy, to-die for tubs will be added via a fix, content wise? I mean, if some richie gets one, why can't I have one? Ideally, I would love to see them handed out to all users, especially Kratos Aurion, who dreams of having one, and all armor dyed boastfully and gleefully, and publicized at Luna bank for everyone to witness. We would greatfully love more neon content.

I believe the leather dye tub the OP is refering to is the leather dye tub that was bugged so that it could dye leather with normal dye tub colors. There are numerous rumors as to how they were "bugged", but I don't know anyone who has actually confirmed them.
One being that someones tub didn't work for some odd reason, they paged a GM to fix it. After the fix, the user noticed that the GM did more than fix the tub, he really "fixed" it. The tub was capable of dying leather normal dye tub colors.
Now in any case, if that was true, GMs have either kept accidently making the tubs without knowing what they were doing, or someone duped the original tub enough times to make a market for them. Or simply, there is another logical bug responsible for it. I don't know since I've never met someone whos "made" one before, only people who have owned/own them.

Well i wish my leather dye tub could do norm color's but then its already bugged and can be used by any age account from day one + so i happy with it as it is.
I got one of these tubs from an idoc 5-6 years ago... I did send Wilki a email regarding its legality... I was informed then that is was indeed legal to own and use. Needless to say that the tub became quite popular with the guildys! I have even had players several years ago x shard just to dye their stuff.
Rumor has it that someone DID dupe some of the tubs because at one time I had the only one on LS and now there are several.

These tubes are NOT made with a DUPE, or EXPLOIT.
Get a normal leather dye tub, sell it to the NPC, and buy it right back.
Poof there you go.

I have had one of these for the past 6yrs.
I have it seperate from my other tubs.
Also it is good if you have a Furny dye tub. to have one set to not be colored. That way you can dye the furny back to normal.

Sorry but that's not correct. The selling of the leather tub to a NPC does infact allow it to dye cloth with the same hue but, I have both the leather AND the rune book tubs on Europa that dye normal colours. They were created by using the bug of opening colour selection on a normal tub by dbl clickin set of dyes - repeat for the leather tub and then.................These were made when people sold their leather dye tubs to a NPC and bought it back. I believe that the bug was fixed a long time ago, but have left out the last few steps of the process just in case.
I DID not create these items, just inherited them from a guildie that left the game ages ago. I too asked Wilkie (during his first stint at EA) about the legaility of these items, to which I received NO reply. So they have remained locked away until I do, or they become public/available to all.
There are certain gold/item selling websites trying to sell these tubs at 250 dollars a piece, so i'm sure theres a group out there duping them. UO is dying because of the duping and insane amounts of gold that is created by this. Someones duping runics and selling them to someone who duped gold checks, if it gets much worse itll mean they either need to wipe all items from game and start over, or just close it down. Yes I am grumpy on the subject, because like many others Ive had to sit by and watch greedy punks get something for nothing and drag OUR game to hell.
And if you ALL believe this I got a great bridge to sell to you as well!

BTW Kurgan there's a context menu setting on furny tubs to set them to default now.

The leather tub can no longer dyed leather. You called a GM. The GM fixed the tub to dye leather. When they were fixing the tub the tub become a LEATHER TUB but maintained the ability to be changed with dyes. You could now dye leather with cloth dye colors.
This fix no longer happens. It was from years ago.

not sure how eitehr were done,b ut I believe they fixed the exploit or whatever that allowed u to make them, but left the tubs in game... me personally i think that makes them rares but then that also means they go for alot of $

personally ea should just add a fix to allow u to adjust ur screens colors then we wouldnt have these types of complaints as u can adjust it urself but the pplthat enjoy it can still c it
