Come one, come all! Simon Francis is proud to host a GL exclusive: Jousting Tournament! Come root on your friends and enemies as they saddle up their steeds and try to knock each other to the ground!

When: Sunday, May 10th 5:30PM EST

Location: Trammel Jhelom Farms

Participants must temporairly join host's guild to joust

Rules: (Subject to Change)
-Each matchup will consist of 3 jousts
-In the event both competitors are dismounted, winner will be determined immediately on foot by first to kill the other
-Buffs/Spells allowed before duel begins
-Shields Ok
-HCI/DCI ok
-Bushido ok
-Crafted Lances ok
-SSI ok
-Disqualification may occur if rules are not followed

Prizes
-Grand Prize: 5 million Gold
-Runner-Up: 3 million Gold
-Character Appearance Prize: 3 million (Best Dressed Jouster awarded this)

-Random Spectator Prizes of 1 million checks will be awarded throughout the evening!

Participants will be able to enter until 6PM

Also, what rules on DCI/HCI? Allowed, not allowed?? And the weapon, will we all be using Luna Lances?? Can we use SSI jewels?

Edit: Also what about skills, Bushido allowed or just parry?

I was wondering the same thing. Several weeks of house guests here so I have not been in the realm much. Next guest arrives this thursday so won't be in game much until May 22nd.

I realise im one of the few europeans on the shard but we would love to participate in this kind of event, i used to partake in CfC alot...me and cash, GOOD TIMES

My point is it sounded like a great idea for an event and im sure many would love to attend, even if the first was small, keep it going monthly say and im sure many will flock!!

I truly hope this isnt a flash in the pan idea and if you feel you cannot host i would be ha[[y to steal your reign. DC has held one of thesse before to gret success.

Althoug may i add...i think it would make it slightly fairer to have 2luna lances(1for each competetor) that way they have at least the same weapon

In the interest of leveling the playing field, I would suggest something like GM suits and GM weaps (or the luna lances previously suggested). Othewise, this will in all likelihood simply be a matter of who has the best items/armor/weapons.

Not that much goes into it.. cap your hci, cap your dci, parry, (bushido optional)

Aye, you're absolutely correct on the armor, to a point. It's still MI, MR, LMC, blah, blah, blah....my suit is better. I guess I though it might be more fun to see everyone with a matched armor set and weaps and see about skills. In the end, I suppose it really doesn't matter, UO IS all about items lol.

The last one i went to was done similar to how you suggested, althoug i was allowed to wear Dragon scale armour as it has no mods.

No jewels where allowed basically no mods.

The reason for the Luna lance is that a)there cheap and b) they are UBWS
