Velicoty and PvM bug

Okay, reported this bug but wondering if anyone else ran into this.

While hunting in the Labyrinth this morning, I noticed that whenever velocity on my bow hit, the critter started following me at mounted running speed. It's not the same as the follow bug when you invis or exit and come back in, because the critters are attacking the whole time with the velocity bug. This happened with all the minotaurs and miasma... don't even want to try rend with this bow!

It isn't a bug.

Whenever you hit a minotaur or Miasma from a distance, they charge you. They run as fast as they can toward you and hit you for extra damage. It's one of the reasons why I never bring my archer in there and my mage only uses energy vortexes.

In the same vein, if you hit a Yomotsu warrior from a distance, it throws a knife at you.

But if you stand toe to toe with those creatures, they don't charge or use special knife throws.

Hmm... I don't think that is all of it, or maybe the same thing as you are explaining, but maybe it is designed to work that way. This is only happening when my bow hits with velocity, then the creature stops the full speed assault with a normal hit. It does not happen with my other bows, xbow, just when velocity hits. I do get hit with the knives from the Yomotsu warriors on all bows though.

But I am going to experiment a bit with your explanation.

*edit* Ahh... now I understand... they stop the full speed assault after either hitting you or getting hit with a second shot. Thanks for the explanation.
