Is there a Template Planner Utility available ?

Is there a utility somewhere that one can use to plan a template ?

A utility that one can enter what one wants to get done and it computes the template most likely capable of achieving that in terms of skills' levels and gear/jewellery available.

A utility that suggests, basically, how one needs to work up a template and what gear to find in order to have that particular character be up to the tasks required, if possible.

For example, let's say that one wants to build up a template capable of working high end Monsters of a given kind, the template planner would suggest what skills would work best with that particular spawn and also up to what level it would be advisable to build each of those skill also considering that some gear/jewellery can help provide skill points.

Is there any ?

I find the profession forums very helpful.

Besides the fact that often some skills are CAPPED and this is information not exactly readily available, problem is, especially for new player or players coming back from quite some time, that they have no idea of what items are in the game and all of their bonuses and so it comes very hard to plan an efficient template.

A utility fit for the task, instead, would include a comprehensive database thus being able to help all those not knowing the game well........

At least, is there a database anywhere that lists any and all items giving bonuses in any given stat/skill ?

Like, say, if a player is looking to work on magery and related skills, the database would list all items/jewellery in the game having bonuses in magery, magic resistance, meditation, evaluate intelligence and so forth.......

Has any such database ever been done and available anywhere ?

Www.uoguide.com has information on items, however items that aren't artifacts are completly random as to what ends up on it. UO isn't like WoW, where every thing has a name that can be put into a database.

Your best bet? See what's available to you on your shard and work around it. Often when my boyfriend and I were planning new characters, we put the gear together first, then the template. Maybe that would work for you as well.
