Damage when using recall or moongate

Has anyone any idea why I might have suddenly started taking damage to both HP and Stamina when I either recall or use a Moongate?

I have never noticed this before and it is so marked that I am certain it must be new.

I am not sure what info you might need to help answer this question, but if you let me know I can post it.

A little later:

I think I've figured it out, but would be grateful if someone could confirm; it looks like a side effect of Soulseeker. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

you lose temp buffs when you cross server line

Are you using any Health increase or stam increase items? Because I usually find that when recaling or going through a moongate that it basically re-equips those items. So it sets your stats back to it's base and you have to regain the health/stam to however much the items raise it to.

yes that's it, you are right.

with such low population on every shard, they should really just get rid of server lines.

Okay, forget my warped theory about Soulseeker, Viper and Drink were right, it is the effect of modifiers resetting. Funny how I never noticed before, but thanks a lot Viper and Drink.

Just that Soulseeker is the only significant change I've made to my gear recently.

I then tested my theory by banking SOulseeker and trrying to recall, but obviously didn't cross server line.

God I hate being a newbie, I'm going back to Runescape in a huff. :wall:

Hmm - let's bait the new boy. Okay. I'm game for that. If someone wants to sponsor my jump from Atlantic to Cheas, I can take Arch Magus up on his very generous offer.

I would start a new char there, but don't wanna ditch my Uber-pally.

If you want to start a pally on chessy, it definitely wouldn't be hard.
I got the gear and the scrolls.
I'll set you up. hehe.:D

Pally's really don't take too long to train anyway.

How's Atlantic working out? I hear that stuff over there is expensive..

Not really sure about Atl being expensive since I've yet to get my head around the economy of this game.

I chose Atl cos my plan was to grow a Legendary Blacksmith and make my fortune that way. That was before I found out that player-made weapons and armour don't make a viable living.

I'm an Ultima player from way, way back - i.e. the early PC versions. Kinda feels like being home, tho haven't run into Iolo yet. I have spent the last few years on another (previously mentioned) MMPORPG but really needed a change.

Still finding my feet with my Pally, and you can be sure of lots more 'dumb' questions as I try to refine my template.

Nice to get into a convresation on the forums, which look pretty lively.

I tried Oceania about a year ago but it was absolutely dead. Only problem I find with Atl is that server update time is 'peak time' i.e. 9 pm.
