after the WBB new design that many of you asked,
why peoples still stay in the [censured] "luna bank box"...lol

The new WBB is really nice!

Luna bank is "little & orrible"!

Its ok for mule chars with all shops there, but cmon...

I know i can't wait to get back to Brit on Europa, Luna is too small and FULL of lag.

I think one of the reasons Luna is successful is that you have all the shops you need, an inn, a bank and a gate within three screens of one another. It's just less time consuming to go to Luna. That being said, I am going to try and use WBB more when we get our update. Being on Sonoma, that should be about August.

Not only is the Luna Bank more convenient, but I like doing my banking inside in the warm dry environment. Loitering outside the WBB - or on the roof for that matter - makes me feel like Jay and Silent Bob hanging out by the 7-11 selling all kinds of illegal "items".

The point of having as much landmass as UO has is to have ample areas for dungeons, events, housing, and the like; not to complicate banking, buying and selling.

It is just downright pathetic on Atlantic. Sometimes there are 10 people spamming each other out in a room filled with 30 other people and 5 greater dragons thrown in for a good measure. I cannot even comprehend it.

Seriously, what is the point of Draconi spending all this time refurbishing the WBB on all the shards if no one is going to use them? The best part is that vast majority of people tend to whine about people not going back to WBB... yet fail to grasp that it requires them to actually do the deed instead of complaining about it. Only way that WBB is getting popular on Atlantic again at this point is if a large guild like HOT asks their members to go afk at the bank to compete with the afk profile of Luna bank.

I used to love WBB, but it's kind of embarrassing to look at after the redesign, so I'm hitting the bank in Skara Brae nowadays.

Atlantic WBB was rocking... up until the crimson dragon invasion. Then, everyone fled to Luna and that's where they stayed, even after the renovation.

Now if they would only put an Arcane Circle at the WBB.... hmmmm....

They need to make the WBB accessable from the moongate. Yes, I know there is a moongate AT the Brit Bank, but its one-way. They need to make it so you can go TO the bank from a moongate. This one change will drastically increase the bank's use compared to Luna.

And then why don't we just move the britain blacksmith and put it as a seperate room inside the bank. Then we'll put stairs leading directly to the Stygian Abyss right next to the herald. We'll make sure to put every single monster and item in that dungeon too so no-one has to visit the rest of the world.

Then we'll take each type of shop keeper and put them in the bank also.

Oh and don't forget the stables, we'll put them directly across from the bank.


The whole concept is stupid. Moongates next to the bank, every single shop around the bank. There is a reason the world feels so empty and lifeless, Luna is a part of that reason and the recent WBB changes are complimenting it.

But to me, Zento's bank is more like an open-air market that I would consider most like a medieval trading place ~ or ye' olde bank. The NPC's are still nearby and there is plenty of open space for people to hawk their wares without being stacked on top of each other... But I can understand how Luna became the commerce capital of Britannia because it was established first and its transit system, err moongate, is like 2 seconds closer

Well if they burned down Luna on Europa would be no big loss. Its so laggy and trashed all the time with tons of runes ect. There is usually a gating war going on inside that little room so you cant run through there without hitting one. I dont go there unless I have too. The vendors in luna are awful because there is one person that owns 8 plots and he doesnt play. He just keeps them so no one else can get them.

WBB vs. Luna bank is really just s distraction to the larger issue, the membership decline of the UO community. This argument would not have taken place on most shards just a few years ago because Luna bank would not hold enough players to be a logical choice. I can remember before trammel on Catskills all the banks were busy with players, I would visit each one to see what folks may be selling or advertising. DO not get lost in this silly little argument of WBB vs. Luna, let us all look toward the larger picture, redecorating the WBB does not entice anyone to come back to UO or advertise the game to a new player (perhaps Haven should be the city that gets attention to attract new players).

Funny thing is that it takes longer to run outside the bank to the gate at Luna than it does to open a runebook and recall to your favorite gate.

Personally, the only reasons I go to Luna are for grabbing bods or tithing. Other than that, all of my banking needs are taken care of from the Brit roof.

I'm with Aes Sedai though, Zento would be more player friendly as far as spamming things for sale or gating to vendor houses and such. There's much more room, and it's a hell of a lot nicer looking than anywhere else.

That might not work so well on Baja. Since Mr. D has done a face lift on the WBB, people stand there for hours and talk. They have guild meetings , player events and All around enjoy being there.

I don't bank sit much anymore, the only reason I do is to buy or sell and theres not much point standing in Trinisc, Jhelom, Vesper or any of the other scarcely used towns if no one is there.

Brit Bank on Atlantic looks like its where the escaped velociraptors are waiting. RP'ers won't go near it for fear of being crushed by the two storey black lich, or drowning in an unexplained river appearing under them.

I'll go to whichever bank is easiest to trade at regardless of how it looks.

I hate Luna but i think that many people choose it not for the bank but for all shops around it ( mage, taylor, smithy, provisioner and others).
Now i've been playing on Europa and the Brit bank it's not yet decorated but personally I prefer Skara bank. Calm and immerse in the country.

Open all Towns/Guard Zones to house placement, small classic or 7x7 only. If you're not going to code in the Traveling Salesman idea for vendors that want player interaction, make the cities usefull again. Delete all of the NPCs, empty out some small size house plots in every town. Let players decide where they want to stick a vendor. Let players venture inside the cities and interact with the player shops there. imo...crap do something, but enough with lag infested Luna and the likes of her....
