Upgrading accounts question...

My 2nd account currently is not registered for anything past the Malas expansion. No Tokuno, house tiles etc. I would like to reactivate that account and upgrade it. The question I have is, do I get a free month with the upgrade or should I reactivate my account and then get the upgrade. I looked at the UOCodes site and I am a little unsure of the whole procedure and the cost. Thanks.

Unfortunately you do not get a free month with the upgrade. So...just activate and upgrade.

Ok, but I see two options. One is the NEW account Mondains Legacy code and that is only for new accounts at 29.99. Then I see an upgrade code AND a new account code, also for 29.99. I don't want a new account, just an upgrade. Is that still 30 bucks?

That link you will pay $30.00 and get an upgrade for an established account, as well as a new account with 30 days of free time with access to all expansions. You could sell or give away the new code if you don't want it, or just hold on to it in case you may want to use it yourself down the road.

You might want to look around and see if you can find a copy of the 9th anniversary box. That would give you the latest disk and a few more housing tiles than ML does.

It may seem steep, but consider the fact that you'd be buying multiple expansion packs in one shot. When you average it out it's a little easier to swallow. (At least in my eyes)

You might want to look around and see if you can find a copy of the 9th anniversary box. That would give you the latest disk and a few more housing tiles than ML does.

Plus it gave you a 6th char slot and retailed for around $19.95. The ML upgrade does not and like you said will cost you about $30.00. You might try looking it up on some software store websites, most have it where you can put in your zip code and it will list any stores within a so many mile radius. I checked and there were three stores that had the 9th age box within my area.

You may also want to wait a few more months (Summer 2009) for the SA release and upgrade to that instead. It should have all the prior expansions plus the new SA content - and I doubt it will cost more than the ML upgrade.

That's what I'm doing with my non-upgraded account... after my main account get's upgraded first of course.

Any idea if they will include the shadow tiles with the new SA upgrade or will that still be 9th anni only?

Found a brand new 9th Anniversary upgrade box to apply to my Age of Shadows account - I entered the "Current Player Account Upgrade Code" just fine, I clicked "Accept" on the T&C was passed to the ROC clicked "Accept" and all I get is a timeout

I assume the upgrade servers are broken

When I opened account number 4, a year ago, I used a 9th anniversary code that had laying around. I was able to get the 6th char slot and the shadow/crystal housing tiles. I'm pretty sure they have long since disabled the bonus tokens for the items.

When I opened account number 5, about seven months ago, I found a 9th anniversary box at the store but it was opened and the CD and paperwork was gone. I'm pretty sure that it was the store chains policy to remove these items and keep them behind the counter, but I was comfortable with it, so I went online and just got the ML upgrade. I only got 5 char slots, but I figured once SA comes out, I was going to upgrade all the accounts and I would figure since a new race is being introduced and they haven't decided if there will be a way of changing to this new race like they did for the elves there should be at least an additional char slot in with the new addition upgrade.

This was not explicitly stated on the 9th Anniversary page - sorry for any confusion. Upgrading to 9th Anniversary will entitle your account to a sixth character slot.
