It's really not horrible. You can filter out just about anything and everything, and you can segregate friends and non-friends pretty easily (and keep them from seeing things you don't want them to.)

You also don't have to log into it much, just check it once a day or so to see if anyone is saying or doing something interesting.

I also use it to keep track of a few well-known-figures who take the time to let their fans know what's going on. Which you can filter as well.

All in all, it's not a bad way to keep track of friends and people. And it's NOT garish or loud.

All of our pages you should be able to read the updates without having to log in or need an account by going to everyone's individual profiles (including the main UO page). I wanted to set it up that way so everyone could still see what we are up to. Without an account you won't get the full interactive experience, however, you will still see what's going on.

Indeed, and of course, anything I write in my Notes section, like the development essays, can be reposted by anyone who wants to, such as to Stratics.

Thanks to Chrissay and the developers for doing this as it helps to keep rumours of nothing being done, etc., down to a minimum. I think it will also help the naysayers realize that there is work going on and perhaps they in turn, will come up with constructive criticisms instead of being negative Nancy's all the time. Just a thought.... well, maybe wishful thinking. LOL

I've been pushing off both facebook and twitter. My oldest daughter is laughing hysterically at me now that I have taken the Facebook plunge.

*looks around for wiffle bat and calls for daughter*
