Fel worries

Hi, although ive played for some time i haver only been to Fel a few times and then it was just a fast look around.I was wondering, am i a sitting duck to everyone there,im not a PVP and i have no desire to give my hard earned items to a 10 year vet.Another thing if i was to visit dungeons in Fel will i need to watch everyone in there as well as the monsters, im not in any guilds so will be on my own and does item insurance work in Fel or not.

Insurance works, so the only things you would lose would be whatever uninsurable items you had on you if the killer decided to loot you. Most places you'll rarely, if ever, see anyone. In almost 5 yrs I still have as yet to see anyone on either my miner or lumberjack. Just stay away from the hot spots like champ spawns, Yew gate, or faction creature spawn areas and odds are you'll never see anyone.

You should be able to outrun most people, just carry a trapped box in case they try to para gank you, have a recall or sacred journey macro set and you could probably make due.

When I go PKing I have a stealther buddy go with me and people don't know we're their until they are disarmed, dismounted, and nerve struck at 1/4 life. Our victims rarely escape, but I've yet to see other people use the same tactics that we do. Not much you can do against that.

Lynk is right. But there is something you can do that will ease the pain as it were. Join a guild on your shard. I play on siege and I must say going alone gets very depressing. But when I joined a guild it became a lot more fun. You could actually call in reinforcements aka fellow guild mates to help. You'll have to be fast of course but even if the bad guys loot you they may get ganked by your guild if they're still there trying to sort through your stuff. I forgot what shard your on but if you go to my UO on the uo.com site then select guilds and click on your shard you should find a list of active guilds there. Pick one that suits your play style and go to their web site. Trust me its the smartest thing you can do. But if you are a loner thats cool to, just more difficult.

it'll help ya get away without too much worry if by chance you do meet some undesirables. these other guys are right and theres not many in fel these days anymore short of the 'hot spots'. and believe it or not, some of em are actually cool folks. some are even more trustworthy and honorable than ppl in trammel that you may know ...but i wouldnt be too quick to trust em. heh. some of my best uo buddies despise trammel tho. i dont go to fel much anymore either but i do sometimes and its usually fun if ya know where to AVOID if you arent experienced in pvp. yew gate is one of em! some of the champ spawns and peerless are def some others. i wish ya luck. worst thing that can happen is ya lose some insurance money, usually.
