Are you going to sit there and deny that people aren't running speeder programs and using client hacks in PvP???

Both you little tools probably haven't even played half the time I did, let alone spend time in almost every major west coast guild. I know what most people are using to PvP and it isn't their damn RL skills.

And for the record I had several thousand murder counts on my reds, and would probably have killed both of you NP.

First of all, what I choose to do with my time is none of your business. A management job babysitting people and queues gives me plenty of free time during the day to post on not only this forum but many, many others.

Secondly, I don't know why my asking the Devs constantly to do something about all the damn cheating in this game is considered crying.

Maybe the reason all you little fools keep giving me $hit is because you don't like hearing the truth about what a cesspool filled with cheating scum your beloved little game really is.

Basically for two lunches at a fast food restaurant, you can come back and check things out for a month. You mentioned you liked crafting, well that got a boost on the last expansion and it looks like there will be another boost in the soon to be released expansion. It might take some time to get used to the new skills that were introduced since AOS, but by the time you get several chars developed you should be in pretty good shape to enjoy SA when it gets released.

You know Brother... I believe the reason so many oppose to your view is Fear.

Fear that the Devs will do something and move the precious powerscrolls and statscrolls to Trammel... leaving the cheating pvp/merchant guilds empty handed.

Until the Devs do something... we're still under an obscene "apartheid"...

Two shards, at least, have organized and beaten those guilds...
I'm happy to say I plaY on one of them...

yeah, the hacks and cheats do suck but i personally can only kill them in game. unfortunately this doesnt remove them permanently. so ...i dont bother goin on much about it. what good does it do? and there are hacks and cheats in every single online game out there! i'd rather focus on the fun part. and if i have some gripe about the game then i generally contact the appropriate dev directly, not write a buncha stuff here on the forums in hopes that the right dev just happens to read it. imo its a supreme waste of time to write so many gripes here. it can spark some creative debates on said sujbect to be sure, but for the most part all it does is annoy other uohallers.

i will be playing UO the day they shut it down. if that ever happens. hope it doesnt cuz i dont think any other game would do it for me ...and i have tried almost all of em.

I don't think "Babysitting People and Que's" is working that well for you. Maybe you should consider a new career, something you can really sink your teeth into?

Then you can offload some of that pent up frustration and as an upshot, give us all peace.

Alls I can say is I hope your more fun on the numerous other boards you post on during the day than you are here.

I stopped playing UO right after AoS came out, looking to get back into it, but I'm wondering if it's worth it? I understand the player base has pretty much tanked on most shards...are there any that still have decent populations? I really love the classless skill system; that, and the player crafting system ( at least the old one). If UO is pretty much dead, does anyone know of any other games out there that can compare?

Having played myself since about '98, I would say UO is alive and well. Player base differs from shard to shard and even on a given shard it differs by hour of day. This is due to the global nature of the player base.
Myself, I found new life in UO several months ago when for a lark I tried out Siege Perilious. I rarely play on my other more developed shards anymore.
UO is versatile and there is a shard and a playstyle for everyone.

So he gets all the gear and scrolls he needs to PvP.

He practices every day for months to hone his PvP skills.

Guess what......he still loses.

Forgot to download a speeder program and the tree and field hacks.



UO PvP is crap thanks to all the cheaters and more improtantly EA's inability to do anything to stop people from cheating.

If you want honest human competition, you're much better off NOT PLAYING UO.

Come back if you plan on cheating, as the devs encourage it.
Dont come back if you dont plan on cheating. You will hate this game as everyone else blips off your screen, makes more gold then you by scripting and then you get the tools like Arch Magus who tell you "theres no such thing as cheating in UO"

Ive never seen so much cheating in any game, the devs have certainly bent over and grabbed their ankles on this one.

My dream has been for YEARS to be able to play Ultima Online measuring myself on an equal basis versus other players, NOT having to face players scripting, duping, using exploits a go-go and then claiming they were more succesfull in the game.

Exactly why I re-quit for the last time last year. I see F2P games that do a better job at policing and enforcing thier rules. There is absolutely NO excuse why a company like EA can`t do the same. Pitiful to say the least.UO`s a cheaters paradise.

All the rest of you poor souls left playing,clinging onto false hope that EA cares enough to enforce their rules should do one thing.

Pray to all thats holy that SA isn`t another UO3D or KR flop. I`ll leave the consequences to your own imagination.
