I disagree with several of the above. Mods you want are:

45 DCI (Higher if you want to counter the loss from Divine Fury)
45 HCI (Not as important as DCI)
Mana Regen
LMC
100% DI
Stamina Inc

For legs, Fey Leggings give 20 DCI, which is almost half of what you need. For arms AND neck, crafted armor with SI, MR, and LMC would be ideal. For weapons, HML, HSL and SSI are the only 3 must have mods. HLD is nice on a wep, but if I had to choose, I'd go with HLA since HLD is available on the M&S glasses.

So does that mean you suggest being an elf over being human? If you think we should go with fey legs?

There are both human and elf versions of the Fey Leggings. As far as whether to be human or elf, as a general rule of thumb, human for PvP and elf for PvM.

What are the relative advantages of human vs elf for a sampire? sorry im new to the template?

Elves get 20 extra mana. Humans get Jack of all Trades which is 20 basic points in every skill. While very helpful in PvP, it's not so much for PvM.

how much dci do you need to counter divine fury? you think the other pieces mentioned are best for their spots (heart of the lion & stormgrips)?

Head Mace and shield glasses yeah unless weapon has hld big then go with a hci or dci helm

Gloves sleeves chest neck should all be big time resists i have evolved away from arties on the slots

Legs Fey are your best choice! 20 dci and 6 hpi nice! and can get in human or elf variety

Tali for all that you ask the trinket will do the job but primer is also a great choice faction primer better choice!

Jewelry here is where you will need to splurge alot of gold or get lucky

HCI DCI DI are all a must! you want 45 hci 45 dci total not a must on hci but helps lots

Now For the true Test of a sampire the weapon!

Stamina Leech a must
Mana Leech a Must
Hci a desired mod not a must but helps hit the 45 cap
Swing Speed increase 25 or 30 a must
Dmg increase a must!
Hit lower attack or defence are sweet to get on the weapon with the above mods also then you will Kick some serious ass!

The weapon to use for doom peerless is subject to much debate many feel dmg dmg dmg is the key and it works but you will still die now and then with ornate axes or diamond maces i know i have used very nice ones of both types i recently bought a Kick Ass Diasho! this baby rocks dread horn and the dark father with ease i never dip below 3/4 hp and only do 4 things in the battle Special Fient lit strike lit strike lit strike lit strike fient over and over again combined with counter attack when it uses itself or when it wears off and Eoo for the extra dmg

Diasho or leafblade with
mana leech
stamina leech
ssi
hci
di
Thats your best solo peerless weapon.

Done many dreads and dark fathers with it in the 3 days i have had said weapon and its now my all time fav weapon for that stuff. and yeah i have a killer diamond mace and killer ornate with same mods so i know the diff
Not haveing to recover body if i die is handy since i carry no potions just suit and go play style.

Also a nice thing to have for this sort of hunting is a proximus swamp dragon many like the reg swampies with excep barding but it just wears out to much.
I only wish i could get self repair on my weapon then i could hunt for ages without going to town to repair my stuff.

120 weapon skill
120 bush
120 parry
100 tactics
99 necro
65 chiv
Leftover Skill In Resist spells

I can hunt Doom Guantlet + dark fathers no deaths 90+% of the time rare i die in doom but it happens now and then usually blood oath and me not paying atention.

Dread horn
Proximus

Still need to give shimmer a shot think i can but not sure till i try ;)
Have fun

For the chest, I have a Heart of the Lion. However I can buy a Rune Beetle Carapace (few million of course). Which is best?

I personally like the Helm of Insight for the huge Mana boost.

I think my suit is something like this:
Helm of Insight
Jackal's Collar
Tunic with Lots of Fire Resist and HP Increase of 5 (I think)
Sleeves with 80+ resists and Stamina Increase 8
Stormgrip
Leggings of Bane (HCI)
My Ring and Bracelet have alot of DCI and some HCI. I also have more resists and (sorry I'm at work, so I can't check right now) some Int and DI.
For a Talisman, I'm wearing a Trinket, but the Primer is just as good for PvP.
Crimson Cincture
Those boots with 2% Poison resists (even though I'm already over 70%).
Quiver of Infinity
Robe with 3% Physical Resists.

If I feel like I need more DCI, I arm a Twinkling Scimitar with DCI 20% (other properties that I can't remember) which also allows me to drink pots. Otherwise I use a Mage's Rune Blade with SSI 30% (and other properties of course).

Bottom line. Lots of DCI, HCI, and DI. Lots of Mana, HP's, and Stamina. All 70's. A weapon that swings once each 1.25 seconds and does alot of damage.

The weapon is going to be the hardest thing to get. I have yet to see a halfway decent sampire weapon for sale on Catskills after three weeks; unless you have a blacksmith and access to possibly hundreds of runic hammers, your best bet on getting a weapon is probably farming the minotaur quest (although I am starting to suspect that the quest has a diminishing returns mechanic on rewards). Just out of curiosity, I hopped on TC1 to see how reliable bronze runic hammers were for making a good sampire ornate axe... It took over 1000 uses to get just ONE decent hammer. :(

Other than that, if you're having trouble piecing together a suit and want one that'll do in a pinch, here's what I pieced together:

-Ring of the Elements
-Stromgrip
-Totem of the Void
-Royal Leggings of Embers
-Heart of the Lion
-Quiver of Infinity
-Ancient Samurai Helm
-Bracelet with +10% DCI and some LMC at least
-Sleeves runic crafted for extra stamina, LMC, and resist filling (took less than 3 attempts with a horned sewing kit to get a good one)

This set will give you full DCI and, depending on your sleeves, full resists (mine ended up with 65% physical resist and everything else maxed). You'd be better off swapping the totem of the void out for a trinket or primer if you have access to one, as well, although with the totem/bracelet/sleeves you should have a little over 20% LMC.

I blame the hip-hop.

And the fact that 90% of Catskills consists of tamers.

Not sure if you meant it this way, but stat boosts are stat boost, meaning don't look for a specific stat on armor. People should be looking for the armor piece that gives them the proper resists and max stat increase of ANY stat (int-mana / dex-stamina / +hp-str). If you can find the same resist head piece with +15 stats, you would be better off with that, and adjust your other stats up and down. I started with the Helm of Insight and replaced that with a better one, but the Helm is a good-cheap starter piece.

Of course, there is always the exception.

It didnt look like anyone answered this for you, 15extra DCI is required to negate divine fury.

So 60DCI total.

this is kind of a crafter question but has to do with this.

what type of gorget, tunic, and arms should i craft for my sampire (leather, leaf, etc)

I recommend regular leather sleeves since they've got 1% more fire resist than leaf arms. Studded's a waste since you can still get decent meddable pieces to sell making non-studded.

Wow :)

Comments like this always amaze me.

Maybe i'm doing something quite wrong, but it would probably take me more like 2 weeks to get 6m out of the painted caves. And that would involve me sitting in front of the computer for an unhealthy amount of time.

If memory serves, your getting about 500gp per kill. To get 6m from the painted caves your talking about killing 12,000 Trogladytes!!!

Even with high damage output it still takes you a few swings to kill one, then you've got to find the right corpse, with the floor carpeted with trogladytes, and pull the gold out from it....

About six months ago, I took a challenge to make a decent sampire suit for a million gold or less. I did manage to make my suit for just over a million gold and it had all 70's resists (about 90 cold, but for the price, I wasn't arguing with those results), 50 DCI (fey leggings, ancient samurai helm and heart of the lion), 30% LMC (40 if I used a totem of the void, but that was out of my price range) and a lot of stamina increases (I forget how much). And I did all that without decent jewelry.

So it is possible to make a "cheap" suit to tide you over until you can get all the bells and whistles. And what's better is once you have a suit that can handle the basics, the big money comes in rather quickly.
