[Discussion] Rare Collectors' Festival - Update 4/2/09

Vendors: Vendors are available by reservation only, unless available spots remain after the start of the festival. Vendor rent will be set at 1m per vendor for the duration of the festival.

Activities: The festival as always will feature a number of activities which all attending are welcome to participate in. All events will be scheduled to allow the maximum number of players to participate and will take place between 4pm & 7pm est.

Raffles:
50/50 Raffle – Tickets can be purchased for 1mil per
ticket. All proceeds from the raffle will be split between the individual with the winning ticket & the RCF Committee.

Item Raffles – Two additional raffles will be held for items of various rarity and worth. The number of tickets and the price will be based off of the worth and rarity of the item.

Scavenger hunt: A scavenger hunt will be held and the first, second and third place winners will receive prizes of various worth and rarity.

Games: As there is often quite a bit of down time, Vladimir of Atlantic has offered to open his house to all those attending the festival. Vladimir’s home features games such as chess, connect four, and more. All are welcome to partake of the games, and betting will also be permitted upon all games. Betting will be handled privately and will not be controlled and/or monitored by the RCF Committee.

Auction: Depending upon participant involvement and interest we may also hold an auction. The auction would be held via stratics rares forum and would be GOLD ONLY. The decision to hold the auction will be based off how many individuals are interested in one, and also how many participants chose to donate items.

Rules: This installment of the festival will also include some basic easy to follow rules.

Regardless of your opinion of another individual be respectful at all times

Don’t openly criticize other players item selections or their prices. If you have an issue with a price or an item present please identify the owner of the vendor and discuss it with them privately.

If you have a complaint, suggestion, criticism, etc contact me to discuss it. Please do not pancake, moan or complain about it at the festival itself as it may ruin the experience for others.

I think this will bring the community together and we can get a lot more items to Atlantic for this event. Things I was thinking for a big swap meet include:

1. Extra Easter eggs meet.
2. Extra broken crystals for those who wants to complete a set
3. Extra rubbles from the recent event or old rubbles
4. Extra xmas neon boxes

hello, im from great lakes and was wanting to attend the rare fest, do i need to let any1 know if i want to attend or just show up

How about giving us the location of the Festival on Atlantic. Would be nice to be able to have time to burn a few runes and let Guild Mates know when and where it will be held.

As it is being held in the same ATL location as the original festival most attending already know where the house is and the majority of those still have runes.

Anyone who wishes to see the house, receive a rune or place a vendor need only contact me and as my schedule permits I will meet them and assist them with any of the requests you mentioned.

Also, due to the isolation of the house it is easier to bring you to the house then to offer directions or to provide you with a screen shot.

For anyone in needed of any of the fore mentioned requests my schedule will be a bit limited over the next week leading up to the start of the festival due to work and rl demands. I will be available primarily in the evening from 9pm-10pm est onward, and occasionally in the mornings between 9-10am est. Icq me to arrange a meeting time, you may pm me as well if you wish but I guarantee you a delayed response if you chose the latter of the two contact methods.

Also... a suggestion. What about those participants who run rares vendors normally on the 'home shard' of the festival (in this case, Atlantic) to have a method of either adding the vendor runes to their vendor or perferably making a runebook of all of them and locking it down on the steps. I think this might be a good way for those visiting from other shards to have runes to places where they might be able to find rare items if they come back to visit. I know I personally have stocked quite a few old event items in the past on my vendors and I'm sure other merchants who are participating have as well... just a thought!

It could be work, health, or whatever... perhaps he had an emergency in RL and hasn't been on ICQ. As per his Stratics username... the Last Activity: 04-17-2009 03:39 PM. So perhaps there is a good reason for him not responding to you.

Hi, I have a few items for sale but nowhere near even touching the cash for a vendor at the rares event on Atl this weekend, let alone enough gold to feed one.

I have items such as "A Guild Deed", "A Deed For A Vendor Named Murdock" weight 90 stones, "Deed To A Guildstone" KoE Knights of Evermore Atlantic guild, old school red strength potion and a few other items plus I do believe a full set of mini house deeds. (Not to mention a ton of smooth sandstone wall rubble and rough wall rubble, about 50 pcs). No idea what most of this stuff is worth but will sell if the price is right. All of these items are on Atl. atm but will be subject to xfer soon.

I'm not trying to be rude or hijack the thread so please accept my apologies if I'm stepping on toes. I was just wondering if it'd be okay if I stopped by with some of the items and try to peddle them or perhaps someone give me bids here on the boards and I can meet ya there if you give me a time AND if it's okay with you DVI??
