Mage Weapon

im trying to rebuild my temp.. as far as gear and weapon, bout to buy me a hammer to make weapons.. i was curious what would be a good mage weapon to hold. i was thinking of holding a kryss , bokuto, or hell even a broad sword or fork.. im going through.. just don't wanna wait money on hammer and be burning. in mean time im stilll going through threads to see fi this topic was already presented

General conscensus is the Twinkling scimitar, reason?? Its one handed allowing pot chugging and gains a guaranteed 6%DCI which can stack with the 15 upon crafting giving 21%DCI.

These take dark sapphires to craft and a runic(obviously)...oh...and ALOT of luck!!!

Missed a few as well...Machete of Defense (one handed but only 5%DCI bonus)
Spellblade of defense (two handed no chugging :( 5%DCI)

Another more expensive alternate is making them in wood. With fletching or carpenter kit. You can get a (i usually make bokuto)SC Mage Weapon -20 with up to 25% dci, also you can "settle" for a SC Mage Weapon BALANCED bow also can have up to 25 dci. and both allow chugging too.

And also remember there are no guarantees you will get a weapon with -mage weap and Spell Channel on it. It is even less possible that you will get one with lower than -23 mage weap and no -1 to Fast Casting. If you only have money to buy one hammer you are better off just saving and buying a decent mage weap from a vendor. I have seen multiple people burn through 10 hammers and get nothing useful.
