Automated House Placement???

Hail Folks,

I have NEVER been, nor shall I ever be, a scripter. That said, I come asking if there is a legal method to use the in game macro to place a house quickly (faster than a totally manual process)?

If not, fine, but if there is, I'd like to try to use it.

none that I'm aware of, Elladan, but I've never really been under the gun to place a house

can you elaborate on circumstance a bit? if you're only trying to replace an existing house on your account, there is the resize option, which works quite well

There is some way (from an old post i found somewhere) and it works for me:

1. first setup a uo macro for wait for target and last target under options on your paperdoll

2. set a hot key for that,

3. then make a uoa macro using your house tool and select the house you want
to place but dont target anything while making the macro

Note: if you do target that's ok you can delete those lines from the UOA macro

4. next set the same hot key you did for the uo macro for the uoa macro
make sure you select the pass thru to uo on uoa macro key,

5. goto the idoc you want to place at manually,

6. open your house tool, select the house your looking for, target where you
want.

7. Now you just setup your last target location in your paperdoll macro options

8. Now just keep hitting your hot key you made earlyer over and over till house
falls and wow you just placed a house lol

(oh and i forgot to add having several computers and a loving family thats likes the game also helps alot)

My character managed to place a smaller house than the one which collapsed. Now I simply need to find out how to remove former Heralds and an item which didnt decay away.

I love this spot, and may try later to resize/upsize to what will fit.

Congrats! Was this a spot in malas in one of the hidden areas? Vol was sweet and scouted tram and malas (Baja of course) and gave me runes for the falls this week, but I missed the ones today. I heard there was some nice stuff though.

You can get a GM to move heralds and water troughs and "stew" stuck from bubbling cauldrons. Also guildstones and shipwreck paintings that have gone static, and statues/lanterns chopped from boxes, etc. They'll move pretty much anything player placed, and also solen ant holes (those block placement as well).

Page when you will have a couple hours to wait for the GM, a good time would be if you are doing stuff in your house or crafting/filling bods, so you aren't just sitting around waiting. Make sure your page is clear and concise:

"Hail, there is a water trough outside of my house hanging in the air that I need to have removed, thank you" is an example.

If the items are locked down under your house sign, go into customize mode and that will pop them into the moving crate.

When you resize your house I believe you only get one shot at it per hour, so start as big as possible then move down in size. Good luck!

only change i can say is when using assist placement tools wear out so be advised but a vary handy way fo getting a plot!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to try to come up with a unique design/theme/use for this place. I have named it the Fortress of Solitude (as it is the lone structure upon the Island), placed a "key" upon its roof (check your overhead maps) HINT: the key points the way to reaching the Isle (search till you find it). I do not foresee placing any crafting add-ons at this place. I do expect to write a fictional History for the Island, the Fortress, and its occupant(s).

Wish me luck and success in making this a special place worthy of visiting.

Sounds like a very cool plan! I noticed the arrow on top and wondered what that was for. I look forward to reading the history you write.

I have a book of runes for the pouches and another book wih the runes they make. I haven't tried making new runes in the pouch that used to give you runes that didn't work since they announced they fixed that. Meant to do that some time and see if the runes that used to be blocked actually ended up being for that unreachable spot above Luna. I have runes for that area that I got from someone else, long ago and always wondered if it was considered another one of the "hidden locations" in Malas.
