Hi all, its been a few years, ready to start with my crafter again. Here is my SLEW of questions. Please bear with me if they sound funny, 1, its been a long time, 2 just had a rather nasty toth pulled and on some major pain killers so Im a bit loopy.

Crafter has these skills

Tailoring 120
Smithing 120
Tinkering 100
Carp 50
Magery 50
Mining 70
Lumberjacking 40

Now, I want to add Arms Lore, so I am thinking I will drop Lumberjacking and Mining Pick up Arms Lore and Fletching. Make a new toon to gather resources with mining and jacking, add possibly alchemy and inscription to that toon.

Ideas on that?

As far as enhancing. Can I enhance a crafted say BP? Like I make a golden plat BP, can I then enhance it with a different or the same metal? Or is it only looted armor/weapons or ones made of iron?

BOD's

I used to have a nice web page that had a list of all BOD's and the possible rewards for them, anyone know the web page Im talking about? Or have one similar?

New Recipes and ingediants

Where are they found? I think I read heartwood, I have ML but dont know how to get there lol.

Peerless monsters for crafting supplies? Where can I find peerless monsters? Maybe alist? Or possibly tell me how to get to where they are?

I am mainly interested in enchancing and making really good stuff in the way of armor and weapons and 'some' house items, such as the new elven stuff.

So, fire away with your answers and or more questions for me. Sorry if this seemed vague, like I said, strong pain killers and its hard to think right now lol.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can throw my way.

1. Now, I want to add Arms Lore, so I am thinking I will drop Lumberjacking and Mining Pick up Arms Lore and Fletching. Make a new toon to gather resources with mining and jacking, add possibly alchemy and inscription to that toon.

Answer: Personally, I'd do this:

a. move Carpentry & Lumberjacking to the new character with Fletching & Alchemy. (and of course, get magery on this character as well)
b. Keep mining on the Smith/Tailor/Tinker for recycling, and possibly add mining to a combat character for Fel & Gargoyle Pickaxe mining.
c. Train up Arms Lore using Fletching training (via quests in Heartwood) - if both crafters are on the same account, once you GM Arms Lore, either soulstone it over to the smith/tailor and train it up again, or just move it between the two as needed.
d. Keep space available on at least one character for Imbuing, which comes in with Stygian Abyss (probably on the smith/Tailor)

2. As far as enhancing. Can I enhance a crafted say BP? Like I make a golden plat BP, can I then enhance it with a different or the same metal? Or is it only looted armor/weapons or ones made of iron?

Answer: You can enhance iron items only - be they loot or crafted. Tailors can only enhance regular leather items, similarly. Tinkers gained the ability to enhance about 4-5 years ago, and carpenters & fletchers 3 years ago, but again, only items made out of the base type of material. Keep in mind that Imbuing will only work with unenhanced items, or items made from the base material, so some items you might want to save for imbuing later (especially weapons)

3. BOD's

I used to have a nice web page that had a list of all BOD's and the possible rewards for them, anyone know the web page Im talking about? Or have one similar?

Answer: Probably Tower of Roses. They changed web addresses about 3-4 years ago, and are still around. There's also a handy pair of calculators on the uo.stratics.com web page that allow you to choose the BOD or the reward, to see the matching types.

4. New Recipes and ingediants

a. Where are they found? I think I read heartwood, I have ML but dont know how to get there lol.

Heartwood is accessible via a teleporter in the middle of Yew. You can also get many of them in Sanctuary, but that's at the end of a nasty new dungeon near the old Griselda the Hag/Witch's Apprentice quest. Sanctuary is the only option if for some bizzare reason you have a Red crafter.

b. Peerless monsters for crafting supplies? Where can I find peerless monsters? Maybe alist? Or possibly tell me how to get to where they are?

Peerless monsters are instanced creatures in the new ML dungeons. you have to collect keys to in turn get the entry keys, for most of them. They are meant to be group hunts, though some can craft specific templates to solo them (granted, many of the solo types take an hour to kill what 2-4 people can kill in 5-10 minutes, so you're better off as a group). Just break party before it dies, and everyone gets their own fraction of the loot in the creature's corpse, that the others can't access for 2 minutes.

The more easily accessible ones are Dreadhorn (Twisted Weald, the quest to enter its dungeon is in Heartwood, the sungeon in the Mushroom cave Ilshenar Spirituality), Melisande (Blighted Grove, south of shame - need to buy bone machetes from another player, or have your crafter do the quest from Jamal, near the dungeon, to learn how to make them), Bedlam (Umbra Bloodletters, through the iron maiden - the quest is from the Mistress of Admissions, nearby) and Paroxysmus (north of Papua, in a hole). There's a couple others (Prism of Light/Shimmering Effusion on Nujelm, The Citadel/Travesty on Tokuno), but gathering those keys is not an easy task for someone not used to them.

Typically, you look for items in the corpses (or occasionally on the ground - two of the Dreadhorn keys are on ground, the other 4 on creatures) to complete the set, and drop them (as a set, one at a time) on the key item (statue in Dreadhorn, table in Bedlam) to get the entry keys. The primary keys last about 4-6 hours, while the entry keys, once claimed, only last 10 minutes. Melisande is a simple "kill 10 insane Dryads and a Saliva" (saliva is hidden in the tree and its cohabiting spawn is fairly lethal in combination with it), to get the initial key, which is dropped in the basket for the entry key.

If you're a solo player, and are still getting your bearings of how to fight in the current game, I suggest buying the peerless ingredients for now, and making friends to instruct you in all the ML changes. It's much easier to learn from actually playing than for me to relate to you via a post, on how the peerless thing works.

Most of the weapons recipes require minor ingredients like the gems that can now be brought up by Grandmaster miners (1 gem also comes from GM Lumberjacks, and the last fished up by Fishermen). Only the rare recipes require the peerless ingredients.

Do note that many of the elven items whose human equivalents required carpentry & tailoring both, don't require tailoring.
