Need some help with roof art.

Working on a new home for my guild, we're notorious in the community we interact with for wearing skull mask. I have a 9x9 area of tiles [81 tiles ;p] and for the life of me I can't make a decent Ornate Crown of the Harrower or skull. Any help will be rewarded if within my power on the ATLs shard. You'll want to find or take a very small picture of a skull mask and upload it or host it somewhere, in order to get the best results.

This doesn't seem to work for me. Does the picture need to be a certain file type (.jpg , .gif)? and how small is small? or what is the max size?

It's not usable right now, the problem is that the database that was storing the RGB table is empty for some reason. It might be easily fixable, but then again it might be totally hosed. So we'll see.

BTW by "small" image think 50x50 px or less, the smaller the better. A 17x17 px image would correlate 1:1, which would be ideal for an 18x18.

Lemme know if anyone encounters any problems using this program. It looks like its giving valid data but...yeah.

Thanks for looking into this, but it's still not working for me. All the squares are 41 and black background. I tried it with IE and same thing. Lots of different extension types also but no luck. What are you doing to get results? Does the site ask for cookies?

I'm using a picture of a torch btw

Ok I can get it to work fine with using already hosted images (enter URL). I thought I tested with an image saved on my HD but I guess I did not, since I'm getting the same issue as you are. I'll have him look at it when he gets home or tomorrow (poker tonight). Try uploading the image you want to use, that should work anyways.

Ok scratch that. I did a few more checks and the colors are all funky, so I think its just gonna have to wait till he can look at it and fix it.

Man if you think compliments will get this fixed faster, well, you're probably right.

Ok! It's totally possible that it is fixed now. I'm not completely satisfied with the colors, though the table should be correct I'm going to test it out later and see if it's working properly.

Oh good, a program tester, err I mean, yay! Good luck! It's kind of a slow process, I think when I did a fruitbasket (came out really cute) I tried to group stuff together so it would be easier, IE if there are a lot of 16-8's (or 16-anything) I would try to do a bunch at a time. That cuts down on having to flip through the pages so much.

I wonder what else could be done with the tiles.

OH!~ What if we had a competition to see who can make the best looking photo art roofs? Have the roof posted with a copy of the original pic that was used as the model?

Hah no, I got my husband to do it. Well, I laid down all the floor tiles in test and took pics then used the eyedropper tool in photoshop to get the colors to make the table for the RGB comparison. He just did a teensy bit of coding, is all.

He's a sweet boy, he doesn't even play UO but he puts up with all my UO related demands.
