Is it some people must continually accuse people who recieved something from a event of cheating or arse-kissing the GM?

Sis and I were visiting with some folks at Loonie(Luna) Bank, Legends. We were talking about past events and neat things and having a pleasant conversation. The topic of the V-day event came up and we were ask if we got a robe or the red lantern.

I said yes, I got a red lantern. I was asked how I got so lucky, I told them because I always loot my kills, a goofy habit I guess. A individual who'd be interjecting comments through out our conversation, remarked "Gee, loot scripts must be real nice!" and recalled away.

I have NEVER EVER used a cheat, hack, or script in my entire 8 years of playing UO! I would be willing to bet my REAL LIFE 66 Mustang convertible that you can scan both my home computers and find NOTHING!

It is dishearting and upsetting that 2 months later I'm still getting accused of this. It makes me wish I'd never gotten the lantern. I'm tempted to toss it in the auto delete box at the bank. This was the first time I ever got a rare event item at a event. It makes me wish they'd never brought back the EM program, too.

Don't get me wrong I love events, but its seems like we have too many immature, greedy people that can not handle it if they don't get one of EVERYTHING. Maybe EA should raise the age rating from Teen to Mature and get rid of the kiddos. I don't think there is a real solution to the problem, and that is the most disheartening thing of all.

Please, please, please don't take this as a rant it isn't meant to be one. I just want people to understand how their nasty words can hurt and affect others, not that I really believe the accusers will care. I hope I can at least reach one or two people so they think before they go accusing others of things they did not do.

Just the way it is unfortunatley. I have been accused time and time again also, so have many others. People are jealous of what they dont have. In a video game its just real easy for people to talk bad and accuse, even without evidence whatsover. Just brush it off as a jealous person and continue on enjoying your well earned item. Dont throw away a piece of your shards history just because of certain people.

I know what you mean. There's someone who bank sits at Pacific Lune who loves to stir up trouble and make unfounded accusations. I had heard about her bad reputation, but didn't pay it any mind because I had never interacted with her. Then I show up one day and see her badmouthing my guild to a new player that had joined us.

The thing is, idiots will be idiots. You can't let their bad behavior affect you to the point you'd be willing to toss away your red lantern. Just chalk it up to them being idiots and go back to focusing on the fun you've had.

I don't know which of the three you took, but I was looking right one of the books on Legends that evening when it was looted. I was browsing slowly, wondering why there was a book on the corpse when it was taken out from under my nose ... I had waffled almost a minute over whether or not to take a closer look at it, so I am confident that it wasn't a script that took it.

Luna bank is the Mos Eisley cantina of UO - you should know that by now.

Immature certainly, greed too, but mostly I think its jealousy. Enjoy your item, you earned it for participating. My reward has always been the event itself, unfortunately not everyone plays for the content, in an item based game. I don't think making the game for mature audiences will effect how folks view not receiving an item though, it was more than likely an adult who made the comment, not a teenager.

Trust me I know how you feel... but my white lanter is proudly displayed at the guild Castle... just like any other item that was gotten durring any other event or trip the guild goes on or participates in.... has a special place in our hall.... Just like my Candle of Love.... or any other item. Don't let the immature ruin your day. I agree that I really wish that UO went back to M for Mature... but I hate to say this it's probably too late... and just because someone is "supposed" to be over 17 doesn't mean they are.... Heck I know some that are 40+ still act like they are 5...

I think we all know the ones that complain and cry and moan everytime something comes out they don't get right away... Heck I know some that still complain and moan about not having a Crimmy or an Orny... but everytime we do Lady M runs or go to Doom they are invited but can't seem to find the time to go.. they have excuses for everything..... I just keep reminding myself that some folk just can't stand to do anything for themselves... they'd rather have everything handed to them.... Their loss they can't seem to play I guess... After about the 3rd time of asking and they don't want to come and participate I quit feeling any pity for them.

Enjoy your gift.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No, I'm pretty sure they were deleted. We have a fleet of about 120 ships throughout the lands. This was refresh day for us and all our other ships were just fine. Just the Britain ships were missing and the whole harbor was cleared. "

Well since you'd like to know what I was talking about concerning your 'roleplaying' guild that day in Luna here it is:

I noticed your 'roleplaying' guild for the third time because of the sudden appearance of many docked boats loaded with cargo that are scattered throughout the Pacific shard.

The first time I noticed your 'roleplaying' guild was at an idoc house owned by one that got refreshed at the last minute.

:)( because no loot and :) because we didn't lose a player)

I noticed your 'roleplaying' guild for the second time when I was out running the lands reading house signs looking for idocs and stumbled upon five of your guild members clustered together on a tiny peninsula in Tram Yew silently casting spells on one another.

I personally only found 80 plus boats with cargo docked around the land that have names that all start with your ''roleplaying' guilds abbreviation. You mentioned in the September post that you at one time owned 120 docked boats for 'roleplaying' purposes.

There's another 20 nameless docked cargo boats as well that I have found, probably many more that are docked off my idocing circuit.

One thing that is similiar about all these docked boats is that their cargo is important enough that the boats have been refreshed now every few days for the over 9 months that I have been watching them.

I had noticed the sudden appearance of so many docked boats out of the corner of my eye prior to 9 months most likely but it wasn't until someone posted an alarm about why so many cargo laden boats had suddenly sprung up after the Luna burnings here on Stratics that I finally decided to do some real investigating, which, since I never saw a soul near any of the boats meant all I could really do was mark runes to them and date the runes.

That is how I know how long these boats have been an eyesore on Pacific. Yes that is my opinion of them, that they are an eyesore at best, containers of illegal cargo at worst.

Why would I think they contain illegal cargo?

Remember I found 5 of your 'roleplayer" guildies casting on one another to raise skills that time in Tram Yew. Maybe I do not understand roleplaying well enough but shouldn't those 5 roleplayers have been in say, Despise dungeon casting to raise skills on the monsters there rather than in a safe non-trafficked area casting on one another?

Now I'm not going to go so far as to say your 5 'roleplayer's were cheating to skill gain but what they WERE doing surely can't be called roleplaying?

Now at most on Pacific for many months, I only ever saw 2 at most 3 of your roleplaying guildies on at any given time (other than that episode of the 5 secret Yew casters), a male and a female always dressed in plain gm made armor or unenhanced monster loot armor. Great. So if a roleplaying guild uses gm made armor to play UO why does the same guild need so many boats for storage purposes?

Given the fact that there were account bans and deletions of homes etc in July or August 2008 over DUPED VAL HAMMERS, I have to wonder if that is why your British fleet was deleted in answer to your old post above? Because those boats possibly contained duped val hammers?

I have noticed that your boats are ALWAYS refreshed when they get to the somewhat worn state, but that for some strange reason, after the last patch/pub, your boats all progessed to the greatly worn state before I actually saw a fellow recall onto one and refresh it (did not see him refresh them all but he did of course).

Lastly, I noticed you have had on a few more 'roleplaying' guildies than usual. In fact, one of your guildies asked a vet player if the vet player could get them one of those new champ drop shrouds, whereupon the vet player rightly said "Get your own!"

That is probably the reason I mentioned out loud at Luna bank that a 'roleplaying' guild has no use for such finery but I must say I am loving seeing some of your 'roleplayers' wearing some color these days, isn't that a dryad bow one has equipped lately, and to see them hankering after the finer things in UO.

Lastly please remember this. UO is a PUBLIC game. Anyone who pays their $14.03 a month gets to peek into the UO window. You might want to ask yourself what those people will see your 'roleplayer' guild doing on the other side of the window before you do it?

Idocers. It'd be good for everyone to not forget that we're out there running the land reading house signs.

And seeing things.

:)

Firstly, I want to thank everyone for their show of support!:grouphug:

Secondly I wanna ask A Slave Girl : What are you talking about and why are you hi-jacking my thread to do it? I don't play on your shard, I RARLY do an idoc and all my damn boats are in a crate at my Keep. So if you're gonna walk in here making accusations then do it all the way and not some half-arsed smarmy BS! I'm sorry but I'm fed up with vague, veiled, insinuations in Uhall if you got something to say...say it! Otherwise don't say Nuttin, okay??

He didn't mention you by name, and as I said before I DON'T PLAY ON YOUR SHARD, so I didn't know WHO he was talking about.

Look if you got a issue with him PM him, PK him in game thats what Fel is there for(LOL), I don't care.

Jumping in the middle of a thread talking about something that only you and Sablestorm know about isn't doing anything but dragging me and others from other shards into it.

You are talking about a specific incident between you and him. I am talking about a behavior that has COST ALL OF US. Why, because its the reason EMs can no long make special rare event items; because of the sins of the few all suffer. (so to speak)

No one would have known he was taking about you till you had to jump in there, now every one knows and it doesn't change anything.

Ummm, not to sound heartless or anything, but if something like this gets under your skin the internet really isn’t going to be your cup of tea.

And to be perfectly honest I'm sure the person that accused you of running a script to get the lantern doesn’t even believe what they are saying. They are just trying to upset you.... and it worked.

Yep, sounds like we were training up pets with mana drain. We do this often on unusual pets such as mongbats, purple bunnies, or most recently for our lava lizard tamer. The whole idea is to GM their resist and max their stats. Your silently comment doesn't mean we aren't talking in guild chat, however. In fact the topic of you came up because of all those wonderful books about you that have been left around. Of course we said the person who wrote those books were admittedly bad news themselves as they admitted they helped you. The general conversation went, "Not a credible source so unless A Slave Girl does something to one of us, we'll be neutral to her." We've seen other people run by with that, "WTH" comment and we've engaged them in conversation.

I personally only found 80 plus boats with cargo docked around the land that have names that all start with your ''roleplaying' guilds abbreviation. You mentioned in the September post that you at one time owned 120 docked boats for 'roleplaying' purposes.

All our boats are named and many of them already have stories written about them. As for roleplaying, you don't seem like much of an expert with a name like "A slave girl" so how about you stop trying to judge our roleplaying. If I train up a villain so I can use it in an event against my guildmates, that's part of setting up a roleplaying event. Understand?

Now at most on Pacific for many months, I only ever saw 2 at most 3 of your roleplaying guildies on at any given time (other than that episode of the 5 secret Yew casters), a male and a female always dressed in plain gm made armor or unenhanced monster loot armor. Because we're packrats and our houses are full. I tell you what. I'll take anyone who wants to go on a tour of our boats. They can look through our cargo holds and quite frankly I doubt they'd find anything in the mess they'd want to steal. It's just the way we are. Even our houses are full of junk most people find worthless. Ask Lyconis or Moby Grape who have been there when one of our houses fell and kindly returned soulstones that were lost.

Given the fact that there were account bans and deletions of homes etc in July or August 2008 over DUPED VAL HAMMERS, I have to wonder if that is why your British fleet was deleted in answer to your old post above? Because those boats possibly contained duped val hammers?

This is a brand new player, Merisa. We guilded her and tried to guide her into undertaking the newbie quests to gain skill. She's a bit impatient however and not interested in battling mere skeletons to watch her skill points rise. She wants to see the world and I as I mentioned, she's on dialup, so it's quite interesting trying to keep her entertained without getting her killed.

As for our roleplaying guild, we don't have stringent requirements on artifacts or colors or what not. Everything goes. It always had with us. Aleena E'lyn has long been a guild member dressed in bright neon green colors. We roleplay that her armor is emanating a magical radiance.

Unfortunately, the RP community is on a bit of a downswing so we've recruited new and returning players in the hopes of helping them train (we provide them with GM tailored armor that gives them max physical resist). Our hope is to get them on their feet and introduce them to roleplaying.

I don't really care what you think, to be quite honest. As I mentioned, there were the books laying around accusing you of paging on people to get them banned so you could IDOC their stuff. Then later, but prior to our interaction in Luna, you win an EM prize. I cheered for you, but amusingly there were a lot of negative comments made about you. Now there's a rumor that you got banned at the EM event tonight while I was giving away eggs I had collected to those who didn't find them. Hmmmm. It makes you wonder.
