I realize that it's been addressed before, but I wasn't paying proper attention then, I guess - as I cannot now recall where I read it:

I have an 11+ year character who has claimed a 10-year Vet Reward. The house that he inhabits is owned by an 8.8 year-old account. Are vet reward add-ons placeable by Friends...or, if the houseowner has to place it, can it be done with that younger account?

No need for the houseowner to be able to use it - just to place it?

Thanks for any information. :)

tp place the deed the account must be 120 months old if you are talking the ankh

A player's account must be must be 120 months or older to place an Ankh of Sacrifice in their home with the deed.

as for placed by a friend I think if you are able to place other deeded items then yes if not then no just grab another deed you have and try it to be honest not positive on that part

Oh, bah :-(

I was referring to the Ore Cart, actually - but I assume the same applies.

Thanks for the answer :)

I dont think friends can place deeds, only lock stuff down, however I think maybe co-owners can. You might try that.

Funny you should mention that :)

I discovered that the co-owner there is 10 years old - and thus capably placed the deed!

Hrmm.

Neither the houseowner nor co-owner can find any security/access settings for it.

Does that mean either:
A) Anyone off the street (and their cousins) can use it,
B) Only players with 10-year characters can use it,
C) Only someone on the Friend's list can use it,
D) No one can use it, or
E) Some combination of the above? :)

What you need to do is find someone with an account old enough, then co-own them to your house. They'll then be able to place the deed, after which you can remove them as co-owner. This is exactly what I did with both my tree stump and my ore cart.

I placed the ore cart and stump with my 10 yr old account i co-owned the char, after a few weeks i ended up moving locations and found that my 5th yr account could axe the item and replace in the new location.......

Have you tried just saying "I wish to secure this" and targeting it like a normal item? It works on some deeded items after they are placed. It seems silly that something like that wouldn't have a way to secure it.

The Ore Cart will yield 10 Ingots of a random type once per day while the Gem Cart similarly yields 5 Common Gems of a random type daily. While there is an account age requirement to place the mining cart, anyone with at least friend-level access to house may harvest the resources.

So anyone that is friended to your house or higher can harvest the ore, not just anyone off the street. hehe

Once a ten year account places the deed. (In any house). You can chop it with an axe an give it to your younger account. The account that is "to young" can still place the deed. You still get the message this deed cannot be placed, yet it will still place.
