Is it possible to use paypal to pay for UO?

I decided to quit using my credit card to pay for UO after the company pissed me off by shortening the number of days between payments from 28 to 20. I tried to navigate thru the Pay By Cash site but that is a TOTAL joke.
I noticed Pay by Cash allowed paypal sometimes, but I didn't see that as an option for UO.
Am I missing something or is Paypal really not an option?

Can you please tell me where to find those game time Cards?

I have had several people ask me about those before , since EA started applying the Game time directly to the accounts, instead of giving tokens.

And I could never find them.

It is pretty hard here in germany to pay for UO (next to impossible) if you do not have a CC, and having a CC is not the norm here...

I likes beeing able to buy the codeds and send them to my friends if they needed them and they just paid me back in Euro

Yes, the easy way is to go to paypal.com and download the paypal add-on for internet explorer. With this add-on you can generate a one time or multiple use credit card. (you can also do this at the paypal site, I use the add-on because it will automaticly fill in the required fields on the website you are using the card for.)

These will act exactly like a credit card, except it takes the funds from your paypal account. (there are no fees to use this service).

I use my paypal credit card to play at times.

UO charges your card every 30 days (not every month) so yes, you do lose a few days here and there. It sometimes seems like a shorter time because to avoid having your account go inactive due to lack of funds, EA pre-authorizes the CC a week before the payment will actually be taken out. This is only a problem if you keep a low balance in your account and the pre-authorization messes with other payments from the account.

It isn't EA that shortened their time, I meant it was the CC company that decided they wanted to be paid every 20 days. That's why I got ticked off.

I just got an email from PayByCash and they said it was EA who opted to leave out PayPal as a payment option.

EA really ought to fix this to allow Paypal.

You can always apply for the Paypal Debit/Credit Card. It acts as a normal credit card except it draws on your Paypal account.

Ok, I did this and d/l'd the one for firefox. This, it seems, is the only alternative that is almost as easy as a direct payment.

I've used PayPal for quite a few years and never knew about this! Thanks for posting about it...handy for quite a few different situations.

I use a pre pay credit card. Costs £5 per month, no bills, no interest, no hassle; just load it with cash and off you go. I don't have any other cards, of ANY description, and I wouldn't have a bank account if I didn't get paid by cheque. I can highly recommend the pre pay option. I do the same thing from the US side.A pre-paid credit card is he best way to go.I use www.greendotonline.com and you can get reloads from just about everywhere,walmart.walgreens and radio shack among other nationwide business' carry the mastercard and visa option for your credit preferance.

Call me crazy but I can find no such add-on. The closest I can get is some pages about a long since expired beta of a virtual debit card. Do you have a page link for the install/download page?

Ah, so it's only on the American site, then.

Unfortunately all attempts to access the thing result in my being redirected back to the Australian site. Where for some reason the toolbar does not exist. So it tells me the links are broken, or takes me to my account summary page...

Bomb, make sure you're logged into Paypal when you do this. I wasn't and got redirected to the outdated Beta thing but once I logged in, I was able to d/l it with no problem and I hope it isn't only for the US.

Credit card companies are pulling all kinds of crap right now due to both the economy and the fact that new and harsher credit card laws go into effect in 2010. They've even gotten to the point that they're lowering people's credit line with no prior notice to a point lower than the balance on the card, thus generating an over the limit fee.
