Total newb dry looted by Krystal, welcome to Siege

Aye so true...sooner or later someone that killed your character ends up a corpse littering the landscape here for this or that reason by someone ELSE that killed them once or thrice.

My own chrs. do not pvp here at all. But when I first came here in 2004 I was slain by lotsa VMP. Then one day I seen the corpsey of 'the' LORD OF THE DAMNED at the Moonglow moongate. I knew he was not invincable and I know... that I danced upon his vile evil corpsey that one day & cuz I knew that maybe it would be long time before I would see, * a corpse of Wyrm* ever again slain by anyone again.

Thus.. no one is infallable here, no one... tis a fatal shard !

Even if they 'are' uber leet pvpers pks on the best of skills arties and connectivity...they just might end up a casualty to a more evil, evil such as the *conn. lost* monster, and end up DEAD as a doornail. AH it so does ye heart well, to see THEM DEAD, too.

i think the key message here is that it hurts for a new player to lose something they might have taken a few days to build up but hey, "insert a cookie crumble quote here"

at the end of the day when i first got a UO account back in 1999 my first day i saw a body near a moongate, i looked, i saw and i looted *GUARDS* dirtnap / dry loot. i had nothing but to some people thats how they get their kicks, for every krystal ther is a Shalimar, a Tozouko, a ca$h , a righty, a hef, a kage, a baal, a calypso, a Fanta, a Dog ect ect ect .... to name but a few of the great players out there that if i had quit the first time i got bi tched / dry looted i would have never met. over the coarse of my few short month on siege i have been killed sure, even dry looted but i have met loads of great players who have helped me (and probably don't even remember me now but i remember them so i play on) they helped me because they could, and krystal killed me because she could. In this post alone i have seen many offers of help and i know that all of them would make good on what they say.... there is the light at the end of your tunnel

Siege isn't UO 8 years ago, but its about as close as it gets, grit your teeth... you will have fun here, and i can't wait till i am trained so i can hunt down those that have wronged me and feast on their flesh :gun:

Half of Krystals counts are from back when killing npcs gave murder counts, so her count is pointless anyways.

I don't think so, counts was wiped after that, when EA decided to make us all blue.

But still, she got many of them but not all from cheap newbie kills.

Basically everything is oft a *learned response* or natural response. Cuz we all *train* each other to react act basically oft how we ourselves were treated here. One can call it a dog eat dog kinda shard, but even the dogs may need YOU one day to res em or gate em to a res. So once our chrs. are trained up even if helpless crafter templates, perhaps we enabled them to have a skill others here whom also NEED when they are dead and alone like magery to res or gate em to a res ..............OR to NOT offer the help. What goes around comes around more or less.

WE all TRAIN each other to react or not react to anything anyone here anywhere in games or life.

Conditioned reflexes are reflexes you learn, via circumstances or stimuli, compared to unconditioned reflexes that is built-in, or natural .... natural response of my chrs. upon seeing a Krystal in game, as new one here would be to say hi and not to hide from her.

After dying to her when I first came here numerous times...I learned to hide from her, so that became a *learned response* of my chrs. at seeing her chr. on Siege every time I see her name.

And different strokes for different folks...some salivate over anothers' corpses in games, and it's loots in game...some do not.

I did made pavlov's dog salivate via *natural response* but I know how to train the dog to stimuli, to salivate wag tail hearing the drum I hit too, via a learned conditioned response. *reward to react to the stimuli*

New players here in due time soon will become *conditioned* to duck, flee, or to hide from or up their skills to off... a KRYSTAL.
