tok dye question

So I was looking at some bow people had equipped last night. I ran upon a guy that had a bow from the faction invasion thingy with 50% ssi, hld, etc. I have a few of those and everytime I try to dye them it says it has to be an artifact. You cannot enhance them, so how did this guy get to dye it? Anyone know?

Do the faction items have a special colour already?

What first came to my mind was the dye-slimes but they were already gone when the faction items appeared, I think.

Sorry, I didn't explain too well. Its' a bow from the Generals and such. And it was the tok dye that was used, not slimes. Sorry for the confusing question!

Prolly isn't an invasion bow, just a bow made using a heartwood runic and alot of luck.

Isnt the max ssi from a runic 40%? I have never made one with higher, and I burned alot of them. But then again I have 0 luck with runics.

I m pretty sure that the invasions had been going on at least a month (probably more) before the slimes made their appearance. Slimes in January and Invasions.

i dyed about 100 bows from the generals on the slimes.

so it all depends on the color your talking about i guess.

i know personally ive got bows that cover the white, black, red, orange toko dyes for sure.
not the exact color, but close enough that i cant tell with a casual glance.

what was the color of the bow in question?

it was the invulnerable blue

I'm pretty sure that the rules for dying items with slimes are/were the same as tok dyes.

If you can modify it, you can also Tokuno dye it.

all the weapons droped from the Generals (and Captains and LTs for that matter) be it bow or sword or mace or fencing where all dyable from the slimes.

Nope what? You can dye those same items with tok dyes...so isnt that a Yup?

I have these to prove that you can use Luna white on the Generals weapons.
Each one of the weapons was from the Invasion and looks like i'm missing a scimitar.

that said, there was a slime that was so grey that it was near white.

id suspect that that is where your weapons came from.

ill go try a toko dye again, but unless something got changed since the invasion started you where not able to use toko dyes on them.

ill go check.

I got a heavy crossbow from the invasion generals. Someone told me you could dye them, so I went to try it out. I dyed mine Violet Courage Purple and it worked just fine.. dont know if they have changed it since then but the bow I got dyed just fine.

There is a big difference between that light pale color and white. Those weapons are definitely white, and did not come from slime dying.

You are right...something did change. I was able to dye my favorite Vanquishing Heavy Crossbow tonight when previously it wouldnt let me.
