Can't put more gold on vendor?

I like to keep about 10 days ahead on vendor gold but tonight I tried putting gold on one and it wouldn't let me. It said the vendor had enough gold to operate (or something like that).

Is this something new?

Not seen that message before!I guess you can always drop something on him and buy it to have the same effect?

I had this happen to me the other day too. I normally just put an item or a check on them and buy it with one of my other accounts or have a guildmate to buy it.

There is a limit of how much gold a vendor can hold not sure exactly what it is but it used to be a great second bank
If anyone knows the limt now I would like to know before I waste some gold
thx

Limit is 1 mil if I remember correctly. Just stick a bandaid priced for whatever amount ya want to place on vendor and buy with a second acct or have a friend do it for you. They can hold mega millions, you just cant place (pay ahead) more then the 1 million.

If you put a bod book on your vendor and price a bod in the book, you can buy that bod. A priced bod is the only thing I've found that you can buy from your own vendor.

That way no other account is needed. Just price a bod at 1 million (or whatever you want to put on the vendor) and buy it yourself.

They put in a cap at either 1 billion or 2 billion ... I forget which.

(the problem was that if you ever reached 2147483648 gold, the counter would overflow, think you had a negative amount and destroy the vendor the next time it went to pay the rent)

the cap was formerly 1 bil to my knowledge.

the message you received has nothing to do with the gold storage cap of a vendor.

when the vendor contains enough gold to operate and you drop a pile of gold on it, it will refuse it b/c it does not require any. In that instance either use a 2nd account to buy an item, have a friend buy an item, or use a bod book to deposit money.
