Champ spawn changed after challenge?

We were making a T2A rat spawn. The spawn got stuck, not going forward at all. So we challenged it and POOOF! It started spawning undead spawn and there went the rats we had been doing...

I also dropped my insured sleeves and talisman even thou had 800k as gold and 10mill as checks in bank. Dunno if has anything to do with the publish thou... Had that happen to me twice before.

Seems like more bugs in this publish hehe.

I had the same problem with insurance not kicking in last night in Ilshenar. I died to a Paragon Titan, and my sleeves and bracelet remaind on my corpse. (loosing the sleeves of a Sorcerer Suit and the bracelet from the Bleue set...not cool).

I have complained about insurance before, but if we are going to have it...dammit, it should work!

I've actually had the insureance bug hit my entire suit once before. i had around 500k in the bank and died to a pk and my entire suit became his. I was furious.

There is no insurance bug, just people who never want to admit it when they realize what mistake they made (I.E. swap a piece out for an alt trammy char who didn't have auto renew on and died).

That's a lie born of ignorance. I got hit by it personally twice, and have not turned off auto insure on my characters since AoS.

btw, I got a blessed hat looted by a guildie once. Wanna explain that one?

I agree. There is no insurance bug, I have killed countless people and died countless times and I have never seen it happen. 90% of the time if I get somebody's suit it's because I had already seen in there paperdoll it was uninsured.

Someone once took a screenshot and posted it on stratics of an insured item on a person's corpse. I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw it, it was in u.hall. Anyone else around when this happened more often remember that post (pre-SE)?

Also, while I've been hit twice I recovered my tamer's suit once. It was outside of Honesty, and still insured when I looted it. It all just popped back on my paperdoll when I hit my corpse, but it wasn't in my pack previously. This was probably about 2004, and I'd assumed this had been fixed.

there IS an ins bug people so stop trying to convince the ignorant that there is not! it has happened to me twice. the 1st cost me almost my entire suit, which was all but irreplacable. the 2nd time my bow ended up in the hands of a guy who bragged about scamming it off me when he killed me. all items were insured or blessed. simply because it hasnt happened to you doesnt make it untrue. wake up or shut up!!

i have also died and had a buddy say, "hey dude, all your insured and blessed stuff is free for anyone to take on your body". sure enuf he grabbed it all off and handed it to me. i was just thankful it was a buddy and not some screwhead thief.

That might be the case for some people, but I died earlier in the night, none of the items stayed on my corpse, died again...same gear...some items did stay. Then died last night, and no items stayed on my corpse. (yes, I have died too much lately)

But the bottom line is, if you have cash in the bank, and the items on your character are insured, they should not remain on your corpse sometimes, and sometimes not.

That's a bug.

Something that I've heard as a possible safeguard against losing your insured and blessed items is to change your options in the 2-D client so that you always have to hold down the Shift key when you use context menus. A guildmate of mine told me this a few years ago and said that it's something he learned about from a GM.

I have no way of knowing if there really is a hack program that lets someone else uninsure your items so that, if you don't notice the change, they drop to your corpse upon your second death after the change. However, what I was told is that having to use the Shift key to insure/uninsure items basically foils that kind of hack.

I have no idea if this is hogwash or not. All I know is that I have been fortunate to never lose an insured item to the supposed "insurance bug." (I very rarely use blessed items.) So, try the suggestion or don't try it, it's up to you. All it costs you to try it is learning to hold down the Shift key while you use any kind of context menu. It becomes second nature pretty fast, so it might be worth trying it if you are very concerned about losing your stuff.

The incident in question with me was dying to a Titan Paragon in Ilshenar. It was just me, my Nightmare, and my Rune Beetle...so I am pretty sure this wasn't any kind of hack. With that said, your suggest is a good one Tina...just in case there is some hack out there.

But in this particular case, I think it is a bug in the code...pure and simple. It is really telling that more than one person has reported loosing bracelet and sleeves only, and was in no doubt that these items were insured.

I can top that.

We were PvPing in Despise about a year ago when a killed this guy in an opposing guild. (he actually was a friend but we were guild fighting).

Anyway after he died i checked his corpse and there was an insured kasa.

I picked up the kasa and put it in my pack. From there I left despise and went to luna bank so I could ICQ my friend to return his Kasa.

His response to me was " what do you mean, it's in my pack" at which point i proceeded to look in my pack at the kasa and it was no longer there.

This is 1000% true.
