Replica drop Bug

Not to beat a dead horse or complain but I remember reading a thread not too long ago about someone who claimed to have got the message "An item has been placed in your backpack" and never received the item.

I looked for the thread but couldn't find it...

Just want to testify that the poster wasn't crazy and the same thing happened to me against Mephistus this evening. It's the first time I've had this happen and I logged in and out on both clients checking my pack and there was nothing to be found.

Hopefully the Dev's are aware of it and the 'fix' is already in.

And I hope it doesn't happen to too many more people cause it's a real downer.

Happened to me once as well. It turned up in the corpse as I recall.

Its MEANT to turn up in your corpse!

Thats not a bug thats intended game mechanincs!

Why would it pop in my corpse when I'm alive and well?

Also my corpse was checked and there was nothing there.

Now that you didnt make clear, if you are dead the item will pop onto your corpse freely lootable by anyone...be it player or monster. So if it went to your corpse chances are it was looted.

Bottom line is I was alive when I receive the message "An item has been placed in your backpack" when in fact nothing was placed there.

Someone else posted about this in another thread. And I'm sure I won't be the last person this happens to.

It needs looking into...

I did receive the "Skull of Venom" so maybe that was the item that dropped in my pack. I don't recall seeing messages for skulls dropping.

Are there messages when the skulls are placed into top damagers backpack? If yes then there is no bug.

There is a message given "An item has been placed in your pack" when receiving the skull. I just did a Barracoon and got the message.

this. the replica message is different, can't remember exactly, might be similar to the one from doom, 'you have been rewarded for your valor in slaying the fallen.... whatevers?'

Yea the message is different, pretty sure its "you have recieved a special gift in your backpack", i get the "item has dropped" near enough everytime low on the replica drops though
