I've always hated book case , armoir, etc storage.. there's very little room to organise and sort out different items.. wouldn't it be great to actually have these containers with a large storage area in the graphic?.. Even better would be to be able to say layout 10-16 or more books, runebooks, etc into a book case so that when you oprn the book case you can easily see all the books in the book case?. Redesign everyones rune libraries into actual Libraries with bookshelfs?.

That's a great idea, especially for the bookcases in rune libraries :)

That was the one thing from the old 3d client I did happen to like( expandable containers). It should be an option, or something like it.

Hmm - after being a scribe and libraian for so many years and seeing some fantastic solutions with organized chests and stacks of books and runebooks, I burned the provided bookshelves, (except for deco,) saved the books and organized them in boxes, like every other sensible librarian out there.

My best wishes to those who are just now going through the pangs of distress over the issues that have been there for years. It is doubtfull that you will ever get a NEW wheel. :bdh:

Your best bet is to survey existing libraries, and use systems like their's or come up with your own (DO-yee, documal) system.

I'm with you... I have had various rednitions of my rune libraries.. latest attached of my castle library.. but... change is about asking, and I thnk there's a better way to do what I've been doing, and seen done for years.. I don't think chaning the "box" of the book case to accomedate this request would be hard.. and it would be a better idea then how many people currently have their's set up..

I was very traumatized when I logged into 2D the first time and my bookcases that were so nicely organized only showed 4 books :(
Tell me about it! It took me at least a week to get all my nicely organized containers usable in 2d with half or less the space.

I had spellbooks, scrolls, and every reagent organized in my 3d bookshelf. Imagine my suprise when I logged into 2d after UO3d got killed and it was all practically stacked on top of each other.
