OK take the whole Dull Copper line up of BODs. Best reward your going to see from them is PoF or an Anvil. The 10/15x Dull Chain large is a Bronze Runic. But it is the worst BODs to gather ingots for. They fixed the Goyl Pick but no Dull Eli spawn. That 25 ore off one be nice. Even the Dull Eli that spawned about the world had 25 ore on them be no great harm. It was fine and dandy when a Dull Copper Light Archer suit meant something. Try and fill that random hand full of shield and helmet BODs and 1k of DC is gone real fast.

Sure it's no great task for the Code Mages to change the amount of ore on a Dull Eli. Now the pick thing maybe rougher. How about any eli spawned by the Goyle Pick 15% chance it is a Dull Eli with 25 ore. How about a reward box that has upgrades or degrades option 2 for 1 ingots. We all know it is quicker to just buy normal iron items then make them.

There's scads of the Dull Copper's in Shame Level 2, I thought they used to give some ore, although not sure how much.

If they don't anymore, that's a bummer.

It is time to change the value of lower end ores in bods for it is simply a waste of time to fill them.
make the work of a miner /smith value for effort when you look at spawns you sit there and bash away sometimes sit do nothing you get rewards that outstrip work ethic
I long again for the days when smiths ruled the market with their awsome skills

Two, actually, last time I was there. I was curious and took a look.

But its seriously easy to get dull copper. Just take either a prospector's tool or a garg axe to almost any wall in felluca.

Chances that you hit a colored spot are pretty slim.

I like to kill the Krakens down there. Seems to be a good little spot for Virtue Drops, doing the higher fame Krakens for a bit, then clearing out the Air Elementals. You can also get a fair amount of Sea Serpent Scales, as well as Ropes from the Krakens.

I've always wondered why I see no one else hunting around down there. Maybe boosting the Ore on these Dull Copper's (and other Ore Ele's too!) could help bring some hunters/gatherers back to some of the older dungeons.

You know, you used to see a lot of people in Shame. I think BoS nerfs killed the real dungeons. Personally, I still farm bloods in shame all the time, and find its not a bad spot as you've mentioned for virtue drops. I've not messed with the krakens over much, though.

It does seem like the dull copper ele's used to give quite a bit more.. I seem to remember farming them back when. Also, is it just me or did blood loot get nerfed? Maybe standards are just higher.

I think the Shame farming died when they adjusted the gold loot way down. It used to be hard to find an empty spot on the first level. I'd like to see earth ellys get an increase in iron ore loot... maybe even a greater EE spawn. Adjust the loot to 5-25 large ore based on RNG and luck.

I agree DC elementals need to be spawned w/25 ore and change the drops on all other DC to the amounts listed above for EE.

As for BoD drops I would like to see shovels and mining +1/+3 rewards also have a decent chance of getting a BS tali. Maybe something like an enchanted apron that reduces ingot cost to make items based on ore type (one for each ore). And add a 10 to 1 trade up for rewards similar to ToT. It would still be hard to get the high end rewards but at least we would get the illusion that we are making progress to something nice with each and every reward we get.

Oh and how about making masks of orcish kin carry over to your pet? So orcs wont attack your pet while you are wearing one. It's been a while since I mined in the Orc dungeon. Anything else in the orc dungeon should not attack you either.

I combat mined in the Shame Dull area when the antiv virtue drops started. It was all great fun when the fire beetle in ghost form still worked. I always enjoyed pulling up rare ores in the earth area and catching the newer players reactions. Combat miners took another big hit when you could no longer mine in wraith form. Cursed weapon really is missed when dealing with copper or val eli. And you can't go into an area and mine and fight spawn there with a fire beetle in tow now. It has always been 2 Ingot per Dull eli to cover that one.

I've done the fel area in the none drama areas like Cove and Delucia. To me a long day of mining means a packy full of goyle picks. Being able to get up and not worry about some BS happening while hitting the crapper or getting a drink and bite from the kitchen. I could strip down and do the lame recall miner style..............boring. That method is tied to the scripter on an extra system looking at the screen once in a while while with finger up nose are doing other things.

True mining is in Ilshenar on the ready because you might pull a copper or val paragon in your current location. There is no see it on the edge of the screen readiness when it just spawns on top of you and gets the first hit in.

What really wrong is a lumberjacker still does his thing in wraith form or while on a mount still. The wraith form nerf made me swap necro and chiv between my jacker and miner. All good in the end. Positve Karma means I can mine in the Swoop area and get pixie help with paragon elis

Very true. Take the gold exc. ringmail set. 10/15 is 115PS and the 20 is 15ASH. Turning in the small alone has chance at a reward anvil that easily sells for twice the large reward gets. The Rewards should of been changed to a total random drop just as the relic drop is checked now. There should be a snowballs chance in hell of getting a val hammer from doing a 20x shadow chain large. Each turn in should of went through a series of checks from the list of rewards. Mentioned this ages ago on my old login account that got lost. Doing smith BOD turn in would still be real active today and all this Val BS may have never happened.

Also had a big write up on jacking with mining style colored woods years before it came out. To bad they didn't use my Reaper Hatchet and treefolk spawn that had colored wood ideal to aviod script jacking.
