About the quivers

I have been playing for ages.. Please excuse me if I am sounding stupid but I have never really looked at the stats on my items. My kids have always "dressed" me. I am just a typical 50 year old woman who loves to "tink" around the game. I've been playing since Nov 1997.. (Kids got an early xmas and late birthday gift.. bday is on Oct..)

Can you tell if these quivers are bugged. All of them were bought off of vendors quite a long time ago..I don't think the infinity ones were bought though.. I THINK those ones were from tokens.

Yupper.... I'ma 12 year old newbie Just look at my "join date" for these forums.. LOL However, I lost a year or so when the boards went down one time... It was right before the UO boards went bye bye..or sometime in there... I think it was in 99 the boards did a big burp.

Ahh ok.. I think both my blight quivers are bugged then. Should I call a GM to fix it or just dump them?

To my knowledge a "bugged quiver" is one that has more than the max of 500 arrows/bolts inside it, the tooltip will read 2000/500 or some such amount over the max.

Thank you. I tested all my quivers and there were 3 of them that I can put 1400 arrows in them and it said 1400/500. So I just trashed them. My crafter can make them now anyway.

As a reply which was always fun.

Daily rollovers, the late night change from an english board to (I think) Scandinavian or something along those lines... good times on that board.

No post bumping or "hell threads" (1000+ replies), while there were more threads on a topic, the board stayed up to date on the issues of the time, you never had an outright "babble thread" or necro'ed threads from pages back.

Yeah I miss that format (other than where I can participate in a board like it now... and whatnot)

Ok actually, in my last post, I didn't mention clearly on what happened regarding to the suspension of 72 hours so I would like to clarify of what happened first.

So someone called a gm on my WARRIOR that is carrying a bugged quiver.

Note that my quiver holds 0 arrow at all as honestly, I didn't even know I am wearing a bugged quiver at first.

Note that the quiver DOES not show 0/50 or 0/400 or whatever. This fact I just know when the GM is fixing the quiver for me at the beginning.


After that, I being honestly, tell the GM that I think I have more quivers wanted the GM to fix so i went home and take all the quivers in my pack and the GM pulled me to jail again to fix all the remaining quivers.

The GM suddenly tell me that because I am not the person who report these bugged items and so I am guilty for this and should result in a 72 hours suspension.

So I suddenly got surprised why it would end up like this and I explained how is it unfair to suspend me with this kind of reason, but anyways, YOU THINK GM WOULD LISTEN? NO... so he just kicked me out of screen even after my explanations.

Oh well, so this basically is my story.

This thing really not hurting anyone in the game play as i am carrying 0 arrow or bolts on me except for the usual 5 dci that any quiver of infinity you get..

I don't understand why you guys dont look at Auto target program, not look at scripts, not look at unattended macroers but can come and suspend me like 10mins I logged on into game with SUCH FAST service when i carrying an item i didn't even know its hurting the game at all..


My goodness.. When I call gm about unattended miners, macroers, it takes me 5 hours with "0" response.

When I call in "OTHERS" it tells me to report someone unattended macroing in the PHYSICAL HARRASSMENT section. After I call the PHYSICAL HARRASSMENT section, it takes me 5 hours with no response..

I just find this is ridiculous and that's all

Every suspension and ban can be contested, go through the proper format to complain, when you are making up your email try to avoid any emotional responses but lay out clearly the circumstances regarding your suspension. I'd probably stress that the quivers only benefit archers, and you were using it on a non archer character for the normal DCI bonus.

I think it's dumb that people get suspended over stuff like this - most people aren't aware of this rule till it bites them in the booty. Take the bugged quiver and trash it, and put a notation on their account. Then if they are caught again with a bugged quiver go ahead and suspend them. That's what I think should happen.

To OP: The blight quiver that's showing 0/400 stones is bugged. The rest are fine.

To Slayer: Actually, your quiver should say either 0/50 or 0/400 stones like what containers do. However, there's a client display-refresh bug where sometimes the container count do not appear, eg your backpack, or containers bought from vendors. If you drop the quiver on the floor and pick it back up you should see it (failing that, exit and restart the client).

I believe your case can be contested. Esp if the vendor house has lots of stuff, the item properties of the quiver you bought may not have been received by your client yet, so you have a case where you really did not know. Besides, you have 1 more thing in your favor, you were not using them to hold arrows, you were using them for the % DCI.

PS: For those having the same issue with their backpack, just open up your spell book. It'll refresh properly.

The first part is right. The bugged ones show max 400 stones, the rest 50 stones... UNLESS you put the bugged one in a secure container in your house, then it will show 0/0 stones when empty.

I bought one from a vendor, and thought that was great to have the extra capacity. Then I made several hundred thinking it was a rare event until I read the postings here how it is an exploit... that does not happen accidentally. I paged and got mine fixed for free.

nearly all my quivers are bugged - i dumped some and the new ones i bought were all bugged too. that is a joke. *shakeshead*
i say let all quivers hold 2000 arrows/bolts and end this witchhunt or program a routine, where putting the quiver in a secure container resets the 0/400 to 0/50. i mean, the program is able to distinct quivers from normal containers because it does not let put more than one item into it, so it should therefor be a nobrainer to reset the stats based on this recognition of quivers.
it is ridiculous that honest players can be harassed by the occasional sh1thead through calling a gm on the person by chance holding a bugged quiver.

it annoys me that ea/mythic dont fix it

it annoys me that they dont post a big if your quiver says this message on the patch screen you know the one it still thinks its jan 13th the one that everyone that logs in everytime sees the one that should be full of info and polls etc etc yes that one

Here I am playing for 11 years and I didn't know the difference. Like I siad, I really never look at the stats on my stuff. My kids and my sister dress me.. I've never really paid attention. I would have been one of your TRULY innocent folks that you would have turned in. This is the first time I can empathize when someone cries about the bugged quivers.
