I say communication crystals that say protectors essence. Where do they come from?

Well, i have one of these, i found it on the ground in moonglow a few years back...

I belive they come from a creature in the prisim of light. But i belive they are sorta rare or hard to get...

They come from the Prism of Light. In the last room there are unfrozen mummies and protectors. The essence comes off the corpse of the protectors, and are used as a quest item. Not a rare item, and the reward isn't worth the trouble looting the items.
