Small Issue with comodity deed boxes..

I have a noob account (only 5 months) as well as my main account, i was at the bank spamming to buy a comodity deed box with my new account and succesfually brought one... finally and thought ok ill drop the deeds i have that i want to open at home in there for storage for my main account to open later.

I accidentally dropped a stack of cloth into the box and because my account isn't old enough to USE it i cant even open it to get the cloth out..... and because its such a large stack i cant trade the box to my main account that can use it.

I understand the whole have to be 1 year old to use it for cashing deeds but you should still be able to open it and move stuff to and from it, is this a minor glitch that wasn't worked around?

Its a bit of a problem as the only way i can get the box onto my main account who can use it now is to find a secluided spot at a bank somewere and just drop it on the floor and then log my main in to pick it up and bank it and hope in those few minutes running from the inn to the bank no one see's it and steals it

Any chance of a work around for this please devs?

Can't you make it accesible to co-owners, and make a character on your older account a co-owner?

It probably takes 20 seconds to do the hide behind a wall and pick it up method, just log your main hidden in the spot you are going to be dropping the box ahead of time, or log them in on a second computer or in KR or whatever. Is it light enough to put on a packy and haul to your house tho?



*btw this isn't an issue with commodity deed boxes.

Is it too heavy to put in a beetle?

you could log in your old account stand next to new guy. log innew guy friend old guy to beetle. then log out. pet will not log out with you cause he has stuff in it. then log out guy and try to get it out of pet.

I dont think you should have to be a year old though. I have on a 2 year account a seven year vet reward it let me ax and replace. It used to not let me but it does now.

For a box too heavy for a pack animal, get a boat with vet account. Place the boat in the water south of Jhelom Bank. Hide one of the keys in town for your new character. New character gets on the boat, sails south of shore about 15 tiles, double click the plank nearest to shore and stands on it. Order the tillerman to head back to the shore, with the boat lined up east-west lengthwise (parallel to shore, so it sails sideways). If the banker or minter are close enough, you can just say "bank" from your boat plank, and plunk the commodity box onto your boat for your main to stick into his bankbox.

if you go with sarsmi drop and pick up fast idea then make sure to put deed box in a different container so that alt shift doesnt pick up commodity deed box tag.

Oh yeah, good idea. And pouches are smaller and less obvious than bigger containers.

East brit has a tavern with a basement, next to the bank. This is what I used when I needed to.

I drop stuff in the chests at the umbra bank all the time to trade between characters. I will prolly get burned one day but hasn't happened yet. The time it takes to swap from one account to the next is minuscule you can use any of the above mentioned ways to swap.

Heh... and you can still catch people doing this in Doom, especially if you have stealth and Transparency on.

I got burned doing this one time, during holiday gift trading. I was being lazy and swapping stuff between characters right at brit inn, lol.
