Does a slayer tally, like Conjurer's Trinket, increase spell damage, or is this just for weapons?
Neither the nightmare nor the dread warhorse has a slayer category currently in existence.I would like to see new slayer books... Fay/ and what ever a dread mare falls under(elder slayer?). its not Equine....Deamon?
I wuv my orc brute killer/orc brute protection talisman... and to hijack, wouldn't it be cool if we had slayer protection% talismen? we currently have single monster protection%, but that kinda sucks unless you're fighting that specific monster.
True, if protections were to be made useful the percentages would have to be lowered, but the protection would only do any real good for a melee char anyways.I wuv my orc brute killer/orc brute protection talisman
Protection talismans feel like a dangerous mechanic ... in the wars of attrition that tend to be middle-high melee PvM, it's very easy to tip the scales and turn a creature from dangerous to harmless. To compensate enough to keep them a challenge, the creature would have to become near-instant death to characters without protection. I do think there is more room to grow the mechanic ... but it needs caution.
and to hijack the hijack, I think there needs to be a better way to determine what slayer groups/opposing groups a creature falls under than the tribal wisdom of monster guides.
That's interesting. Sounds like it's similar to the difference between DI% and EoO/Slayers.I had a 100% bird killer and tested it vs the bird slayer. The killer one was at best 15 extra damage and not replacement for the bird slayer.
"Orc protection" would be against your standard orcs, with names. That's interesting. Sounds like it's similar to the difference between DI% and EoO/Slayers.
I have a different question - Does orc protection protects you against orc mages, choppers brutes etc? If so, it's like a mini slayer group.
Same question with liches/ancient lich protection.
It existsThe named ancient liches would fall under the heading of "Ancient Lich" if it existed.
Thanks!"Orc protection" would be against your standard orcs, with names.
Bumhug, and the like.
Love that name...
Orc mages and lords would be separate again. And, the orcs that look like lords, but have names... I've never known what heading they'd fall under... A corner of my brain is trying to say "Orc Captain" but I couldn't be certain.
Same for Liches.
Lich and Lich lord would be different.
The named ancient liches would fall under the heading of "Ancient Lich" if it existed.
It works on the ice fiends for sure. But not against every mob in Ice Dungeon. I can't recall accurately, but it didn't work too well against a white wyrm or AOL. I think that's the reason I used this tally to farm Ice Fiends instead of the WW or AOL.I have a tally called an "Ice Slayer". Does this work against all Ice creatures (Ice Fiends, Ice Ele, Ice Snakes, etc.) ?

Read this and grabbed my Flame Slayer.. NO go.. Does nothing to effect damage on fire bunnies.Been using my Flame Slayer vs the Fire Bunny with great success. Just after a few 100 gave up on their drop. Having to keep my goody-to-shoes karma up is a pain. Cuts into my Oaks time. There should be a black chiv book if you go there.
Doesn't work with spells, either way around. Also, any ideas about spells? Do the protection property only help with melee damage or will they reduce spell damage too?
