About two years ago I had the hard drive UO was installed on crash on me. I did, however, save the account directory with the player shards, my character names and under each name their configuration files (containing macros, etc).
When I reinstalled UO today and logged on and off I searched and I couldn't find any of the directories.
The old structure I had was something like:
account_name
Lake Superior
character #1
character #2
character #3
character #4
character #5
Within each character subdirectory were the following files:
chardata.mul
desktop.uos
macros.txt
multicache.dat
skilgrp.mul
uo.cfg
I "WAS" hoping I'd just have to copy some of these files (like the macros) to the new directories and save myself the trouble of having to set up all these macros again on all 5 characters when I did it once and saved them.
Could anyone explain if this is still possible or if the game I downloaded in October (it took a while to get around to installing obviously) is different than the Age of Shadows version I had on my old hard drive?
Thanks
