Guards should attack reds, but weaken the guards..

I think the removing of guards in towns was a bad idea, pretty much killed Buc's Den and other towns in Felucca that ever had population.. I think what should have been done is that guards should have been weakened, toned waaaaaaay down so that players could kill them, so as they run through a town, guards are constantly attacking them and they have to kill them off...

Guards in my opinion should be slightly stronger than faction guards, but killable like one... This would solve quite a few pet problems and open back up Buc's Den..

Oh my buc's den is a pain due to the server lines!!

But i do like the idea of guards going hostile on reds and being like faction guards only x2 as strong would make for alot of pissed off reds and good amusement for the passerby.

actually you used to be able to kill the guards along time ago.where i bank i never see another person lol

You're talking about opening up Buc's den again, have you PVP'ed...in years? Server lines, Bucs den, no PVP. :scholar:
I'm not talking about opening up PvP at Buc's Den, talking about getting Felucca more active again, with this idea, it can become very active again, especially if the guards can give some rewards.. Gear, gold, etc..

Im a pvp'er and taking away the guards is the best thing they've done to pvp for a long time!

You're not talking about opening up Buc's den? Right man, I guess you're just trying to talk..about..opening up...Bucs....WAIT! What? :sad4:

You want to incorporate more of a sense of PVE into this game, to boost the PVP factor, am I right? Kill guards, get a bonus? Town Guards should be over powered, or they would hold no clout, you do something illegal do you not get arrested? Why not make it so if the guards manage to subdue you, you get put in jail for days, as opposed to years!? It's just not logical to the sense of UO man.

Keep hopes up for Darkfall, wasn't it January 22nd? Or was it June...:wall:

but doesnt this suggestion severely affect pvp? arnt 'reds' pvpers?

essentially, you wanna turn guards into a glorified balron? it makes absoloutely no sense.

PvP is not a feature in UO..... Some "reds" might be roleplayers too.... It really has not crossed your mind? Reds are red, not PvP'rs as people like to say it, PvP = Player Vs Player as you know.. It just means that you are able to fight one another in game....

And no, I do not want to turn guards into a glorified Balron, I said they wouldn't be too hard to kill, a little harder than a faction guard.. It would make sense if guards attacked reds, the more realistic UO is, the more hardcore it would be in your Felucca "PvP" ruleset, I call it a ruleset of Freedom, as that is the one, true feature in UO, was player freedom, and the only way we got that freedom was from realistic game-play..

I am not going to talk about Darkfall until the NDA lifts.. It is a good game, but I am not going to play it if I feel like I am playing a beta, I highly doubt it will come out on Feb 25th.. A lot of the features are not even in the game.. The game over-all, lacks much depth..

I don't want to incorporate more of a sense of PVM into UO, I think the game should be more realistic, a game with realism is what put UO in the "Sandbox" genre along with Darkfall, realistic gameplay allows a more open, depth game with less restrictions, it is a solution to a less carebear approach with less griefing.. It indeed does work in Darkfall, amazingly, there is less griefing than the early days of UO because they have the same ideas, just done better and improved.. It is what UO should have done, instead of plopping down the no open pvp ruleset and changing the game entirely, adding in item properties, they should have improved on what they had..

I think they should remove guards from another town in Fel besides Buc's Den, one that without a lot of sever lines, because this idea would work great..
