How do I make scrapper's?

Ok now I have 100 Inscription and 120 Mage I can do spellbooks easy. However I am discouraged since I can't do scrapper's spellbook.

I have been doing the quests over and over at the tinker's at heartwood but up to now the "recipe" has not been attained?

Am i doing this right or is there something I am missing out? I have the ingredients ready just in case this recipe drops. But does it really?

Sad to say very little info is available on this matter hope somebody could share a walk through on how to go about it. Please help TIA.

I've been doing the spyglass quest while training tinkering and have been getting a ton of various recipes. No scrappers recipe, but I didn't know that was a possibility either.

Last year I was doing the quest for Scrappers recipe. None on day 1. Got one on day 2, yay! Got another one on day 3!!! Bought a lottery ticket that night!

Thanks for the feedback. Nice to realise all is errr "normal", I think it's best to buy the recipe from somebody who got lucky rather than hearing that horrendous music at heartwood for a whole day eh?

How hard is it to obtain the peerless item for the scrappers? I would like to make some Scrappers, but I would prefer to do it at my own speed rather than having to drag people with me to kill things - and I have no guild to drag with me anyway! =P

I have a tamer with a good greater dragon and a fairly good cu, would one of those pets be sufficient for the area solo?

I was intending something along the lines of "Can Dreadhorn be solod with a tamer using a good GD or a good cu?" rather than needing a link. =)

Can peerless bosses be solo'd by a tamer using a GD that can handle para balrons pretty easily? If not, what builds would you suggest to solo big creatures like peerless bosses?

I haven't done peerless in a while, but in the past I have been able to just wander up to a peerless area and there were people that were happy to include me in their party to fight the boss. I can't say if it is possible to solo them, but I have been able to find people on occasion when I go there. Sorry that I didn't really answer your question, but I thought you could give it a shot.

Dreadhorn can be a bit difficult for 1 or 2 people without one of the Super-necro templates (that stack leeches), as dying with no one to rez you pretty much ends it, after the keys run out.

But, a friend and I did Dreadhorn with two partially trained GDs - we each died several times, as did our dragons, but as long as one of the two players survived to rez the other and the dragons, we were able to finish.

Actually 2 people with Rune Beetles and Kitsune do better than Tamers with Greater Dragons. Get the Rune Beetles to tank, and stand close vetting if one of you gets hit the other casts Greater Cure and heals as needed, the pets will cure themselves most the time. The Dreadhorn does 60% poison Damage, Rune Beetles have over 90% Poison resist most the time, you negate a huge majority of it's damage. Me and a friend used to do this every now and then we've done it both before and after they beefed up peerless.

If possible though I would recommend finding one of the fancy Necro-template players to come along if things go bad and the tamers die, a Sampire (at least a good one) can often tank it long enough for the others to get rezed, healed, pets rezed, pets healed. I've had to do it with mine once or twice.

After all the trouble just in getting the ingredients it really is a shame to see Scrapper's being sold at vendors for 150K huh? Knowing it's a matter of chance in crafting them something just doesn't look right there, I might as well fail than come up with a regular Scrapper in the process.

It really draws back the total reliability of this crafted spellbook.

I only wish the finished product the Scrapper's, could afford much more better enhancements even more so at 100 Inscription and 120 Magery.
