Doom Points System Question -Possible FoF

Was wondering, if you are in doom accumulating points and have to leave for repairs before you actually drop an arty, do you start from scratch when you come back in or do your accumulated points remain when you return?

Leaving Doom isn't addressed, unless i'm completely missing something:

• Killing bosses in Doom will increase your chances of getting an artifact drop
• Each player character participating against a gauntlet boss or the Dark Father will accumulate artifact reward points.
• The more artifact reward points a player character accumulates, the more likely an artifact will spawn in his/her backpack.
• Player characters who score higher on the Top Attacker list will earn more points. However, everyone in the Top Attackers list that stays the entire duration of the combat (even if slain) will still earn points.

I know it seems like if your accumulating points, it makes sense that it would not reset until you drop an arty, regardless of whether you leave or not but in the past I spent quite a bit of time in there with my sammy and dropped lots of arties. I could usually tell when I had killed enough mosnters and could normally predict with reasonable accuracy that it was time for a drop.

On one such occasion, I was due a drop and had no choice but to leave the dungeon for a short period and return. On my return I didn't get a quick drop and had to go through roughly the same number of rooms as I would when starting from 0 to get that arty drop.

This could be a co-incidence but it left me feeling like my points had been reset by leaving the dungeon.

Some clarification on how the code works from devs would be most helpful, unless anyone else has a link to some more specific info on this topic.

its the same system as the treasures of tokuno in regards to the drops. Its an accumulated system. Since its doom its not as easy to get the drops, you may have to go a little longer to get a drop, but you are free to come and go as you please and not loose the points.

This question was already answered in a previous FoF. The answer is no, you don't have to start from scratch. Any points accumulated stay with the character.

It is the same as the system that grants you artifacts from slaying Paragon creatures, or slaying creatures in the Anti Virtue Dungeons. The points you receive are cumulated and not lost when you leave or log out. However, you don't get an artifact when you reached a certain number of points, but the chances of receiving a reward are higher the more points you have. (In theory, you could receive a reward after slaying your first Gauntlet creature, however this chance is very very low.)

Whenever you received a reward, the number of associated points is reset to zero.

That's my understanding of how the system works.
