how do you get the new patch if it didn't download correctly and had an error?

Try deleting everything in your patch directory and launch it again. 'should' patch okay then.

there were 2 files in the patch folder, deleted them both, reopened uo and it still won't work

check your patchlog, it should tell you where the patch went wrong.

Do you have any altered files in your directory? Music files for example?

it loads the first line and the second line says error and your client may not be the most recent version

go to your EA folder. Probably the path is C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online Mondain's Legacy
look for a file called 'patchlog', open that file in notepad and look what the last entry says. There are only 5 files in this patch, 4 changed and 1 added.

i dont see a patch log, but inside my patch folder are 2 files named "uoml_win32_6-0-12-4.pat" and "uoml_win32_6-0-12-4.rtp"

In the case that you had deleted or renamed "\Music\Digital\Config.txt", to listen to the old midi musics:

Create a dummy "Config.txt" or rename the file name to the original one, then you can patch.
