Still burning in Luna

I would like them to keep burning a symbol that chaeters will be banned form the game.

Whatever they do, end the burning, make parks (my preference), public toilets (also would love that), DO NOT ALLOW MORE HOUSING. Luna is the ghetto of UO. (No offence intended to my friends and honest players with shops there).

I say level Luna too! I so miss hanging out at WBrit Bank and watching all the activity. Luna is just a place to cut corners and was probably made for the people who whine about it taking too long to do things. Plus Luna just about killed any other vendor from making a decent living. We always have to sell our wares WAY underpriced just to make enough to keep a store running at all and it gives so much of an advantage to those few players who were lucky enough to get a spot.

Well, that's my 2 cents anyway.

It is incomprehensible to me how they didn't think that creating two cities with moongates right in town, with player vendorhouses allowed within the borders, would kill the rest of the world. Between that and the vendorfees which penalize the wrong kind of vendorhouses (i.e. the little guys, not the I-sell-25-arties-a-day shady houses in Luna) it is a daily uphill battle to survive at all as a vendorhouse outside of Luna.

At the very least, houses placeable within Luna and Zento should not have had the option of being public houses. Should have been private only, no vendors. It's such a ridiculous ezmode lazy player pander that it effectively slapped a tarriff on every other vendorhouse existing in the game. Not to mention the effect it had on the other cities.

That's my kind of thinking. I mean there's a search engine for LUNA by itself (searchuo). Why doesn't EA just make a built in search engine for all of UO so that anyone can have a fair chance at selling anything. That would fix it all IMO.

Close but............. Whoever donates the most gold to a npc that is placed at the plot should win the plot, the npc will take checks and coin. that would be the ultimate gold sink. the other top 19 would win a one of a kind item. the rest would get a blessed robe +10 phys that says "I gave away all my gold for this stupid robe, I guess its my sign" (random any color in the uo spectrum)

See now here is someone with creativity and imagination. Love to see all the scripters and dupers climbing all over themselves that don't have Luna plot. And don't we have theese new Legendary Imaginateers called EMs that could be given the responsibility for a fair way to earn those valuable plots? Some long drawn out scavanger hunt covering many small events?

In some games (SW Galaxies, WoW) you just buy and sell everything through what equates to Ebay. You have a gump that shows you what is for sale, how much, and you can buy it and it appears in your pack. How boring is that??

But...

I would never shop in Luna if I could find what I wanted elsewhere. So maybe this is not a bad idea!

And don't we have theese new Legendary Imaginateers called EMs that could be given the responsibility for a fair way to earn those valuable plots? If they're going to do it by contest, at least do a *TRULY* fair one. Not every kind of player can go to every locale in some kind of long, drawn out treasure hunt or obstacle course.

Have people show up to receive a raffle ticket that is one-per-account. Make it cost some nominal amount like 50k to get one. Then do a drawing. Only people who actually showed up to get their ticket would be eligible, obviously.

That is also WOW's system, verbatim. So I would expect in most future MMO's we're going to see that as a standard fixture. Unfortunately.

I rather they just leave the burn out black remains of that house on every shard so people can remember what happens to people that script/dupe.

Leaving it to remind us all that big brother is watching over us is one way to keep those folks from getting to greedy once more.

NOTHING. Wouldn't see vendors still with multiple val hammers. And all that runic made armor and weapons the smith has no pride to put there name to.
