this comes up everyweek, and everyweek the answer is provided heh, we need a sticky explaining tuesday mornings is login server maintenance time :/ it sucks yeah but thats the reason

its nice if u solo champ spawn in KR client, and cant login after client crash

Strange, given how I found out about it from searching posts and the UO website (I think it's buried in the Knowledge Base, somewhere), back when people first started whining about it EVERY Tuesday, for most of the last 4-6 months.
The information HAS been given - not their fault you lack the initiative to look for it.

Come to think of it, while I can't make a sticky here, I CAN do one on Player's Corner, and perhaps it's time to at least make a sticky about the scheduled downtime there. I'm getting tired of having to re-invent the wheel multiple times every Tuesday Morning.

Ok if it is there MEA CULPA altho I still haven't been able to find it, but, even so your post tells its own story.

So when the info was given out they are to be congratulated on the effectiveness of the method used. Indeed it was so effective that 6 months later many people (myself included) were not aware of its existence.
When I say I cannot find it I am not including the announcement in the Herald as this is the first time this has appeared. However it IS the sort of information we should have been getting for the past 6 months. At least people who log out know what they have done and will have to wait for re-entry.
EVERY day when the servers go down there is an ingame message that they are about to do so. Was it too much to ask that information about the log-in servers going down ONCE a week is also given somewhere?.
As for the information being 'buried in the Knowledge Base somewhere' I will make no comment myself but leave this for others to form their own opinions as to its usefulness.
The Herald announcement was the first "official" statement I have seen about it. That being said, the first time it happened to me, I came here. There was a post about it. I will NOT dig thru an outdated website(uo.com) that may or may not have the information I am looking for (been there, done that too many times). Especially when I know someone here on the UHall knows the answer.
If you think about it, the folks here at startics should be proud. When players need info, they come here. Not uo.com, a website that is not kept up (with all info) and/or poorly organised. I, for one, am glad stratics and the UHall is here.

The Herald post I don't even think was related to it (it was posted too late in the day, and didn't read to me like it was in relation to the standard downtime).
I HAVE, however, created a server downtime FAQ (which also includes all the shard downtimes, and the vet reward server maintenance time - can't remember if there is a housing server scheduled downtime, or not), on UO Player's Corner. What is to be seen now is how many people come here next Tuesday and complain that they can't find any info on Stratics about the downtime.
