How to reverse Cancelling of a Subscription?

A friend has cancelled his subscription a while back. Due to his 6-month-payment, the account is still active until the 6 months are up. Meanwhile, he changed his mind about UO and wants to reactivate his account.

However, the account management page does not have an option to reactivate the account (I guess because it is still active for a few weeks).

Question 1: Will the house fall, if the account goes inactive and is reactivated a day later?

Question 2: Can the cancelling of the subscription somehow be reverted?

Yes 90 days after its canceled If he reactivates the day or after but before that 90 days his house will still be there.

That happened to me just last week.

About 5 months ago, I decided to stop my account and thus told them "After my time expires, cancel my account." Then I found reason to keep playing, but forgot to set my payment plan back on.

So after a couple days of not playing, I noticed my account expired and reactivated everything. My houses are still there. (question 1)

The page (to me) was pretty clear about the procedure I needed to use to reactivate my account. I just had to put in my payment options once again, and it was done. (question 2)

Thanks for the answers.

So, after the subscription runs out I have enough time to reactivate the account and not lose the house. Good!

I can't see an option in the account management site to reactivate, although I looked VERY thoroughly. The payment information is still correctly on the page, no need to change anything here. If the friend hadn't received a cancellation confirmation, I would have thought the account never had been canceled.

On the page that says subscription there will be in red underlined letters on the top right hand corner once the account goes inactive. When I reactivated an older account this year I had to put in my billing information again and select what plan I wanted. If you don't have much time left before it expires and don't mind losing a few days. You can always call and have it reactivated also.

Its because you pay in full and he choose to cancel at the end of the billing period, its just like having 6 months of a game time code. Once its done the option to reactivate the account will come back. The account is active so you can not reactivate it. There should be on the account info the number of days left like 56/180 or something like that.

House decay is messed up if you ask most people. I myself took almost an entire year away from UO, acct canceled and everything. Came back to find my Castle was still there and set to auto refresh when I setup my new payment and logged in. So my castle which should have dropped after what 90ish days or something, was still intact after almost an entire year of nonpayment!

Very weird housing issues going on to say the least!

You could have had vendors on it, that would cause it to refresh.

Hawkeye, your friend should get an e-mail from [email protected] seven days before the subscription expires.

If he goes to the Account Management site before the subscription has actually expired, he should use use the "Change Billing Method" link on the Subscription Info page to input his billing method (cc or game time), billing frequency, and cc info (if using a cc).

If he goes to the Account Management site after the subscription has actually expired, the Subscription Info page shows the status of the account (e.g., SUSPENDED), suspension date, and suspension reason (e.g., "Coupon Queue Empty" if you have removed all the payment info). There will be a "Reactivate Your Subscription" link on the Subscription Info page that basically does the same thing as the "Change Billing Method" link does on an active account (i.e., choose the billing method, frequency, etc.).

Note: I'm pretty sure that the ONLY e-mail reminder your friend will get is the one that arrives seven days before the subscription expires. He won't get another one after it has actually expired. If he chooses to reactivate, he will get an e-mail confirmation of the billing change. If paying by cc, all it shows is the billing frequency that was selected and says it will go into effect when all other coupons, promotions, etc. have been used up.

Actually I had 2 vendors set up on the front steps, But was told by a player I knew that had been watching to see if the Castle would go IDOC that the Vendors disappeared early summertime. That would mean that those vendors fell due to no money to pay them which would be true. They were recovered when I logged back in the first time. Thing is, the vendors were only there for "Guards" appearance. They were both wearing Full suits of Virtue Armour to look like they were in Uniforms sorta and was only deco really. Nothing for sale on them at all ever. And the vendors were placed by the actual Castle owning Character...

I am not sure what to think other than while I was away on my nice little "Vacation" to Iraq last year that "someone" was looking out for me lol.
