Which shard should I play

I am a returning player, having previously played on Oceania. The problem there was there just wasn't enough other players.

Which is the most populated or popular shard, and would anyone care to recommend which I should play.

My main charcters will probably be skillers, so a shard where player made stuff can sell reasoanbly easy would be nice.

You should come to Siege. There aren't 1000's of players, but we are a tight community. We have a guild to help you out when you are new, appropriately enough it is called NEW.

I guarantee after 2 weeks on Siege you will never look back to prodo shards.

atlantic if you want to see a lot of other players/commerce.. siege only if you want to feel like a UO PvP version of "I am Legend" wearing low end gear that you lose every time you die.

The rest of the shards fall somewhere between those two extremes.

There are other shards besides Catskills?

*shrugs*

Honestly though, poke around the shard forums and im sure you will get some idea of the players.

btw...Did I mention Catskills? :D

Lake Superior is a great combination between population, community, and space. There are also still spots to be had if you want to place an 18x18 house. :spider:

When it comes to being a merchant and having many people Atlantic is a good one for it.

Try Lake Austin or maybe Origin or perhaps consider both if you plan to try to sell player-crafted items. They're both fairly quiet shards but you would probably do quite well with a shop because you wouldn't have tons of competition. You also shouldn't have much trouble finding a good non-Luna location for a shop or perhaps renting vendors in Luna. If you pick either one and need a fire beetle or other pets, just give me a shout and I'll be happy to help you get them.

Eh, if he has cable it may not be that bad. I live in Colorado and was able to tame two greater dragons on Oceania last night without any help and last week a WW and a rune beetle. Only died once last night when I ran through a thicket of dragons. You just have to learn to slow down a bit with pressing keys or the mouse and not do really foolish stuff. If he's going to focus on crafting only, he should be more than fine.
