DEV's please help save a little peice of UO History

Theres an IDOC coming up on Europa soon with a named Guildstone on the top. When it falls, the Guildstone decays also. I've tried to contact the GM's but they are not interested in helping and just tell me to check what they cant do (Changing an item to its deed to prevent it decaying needlessly isnt in the list) but wont actually let me talk to them to explain what I would like them to do. I dont want to take it as such (if I get to grab it when the place falls then great but na) all I ask is that it be changed from Guidstone to deed in the same place!

Please Dev's lets try to keep a bit of history, contact me in game please and I'll show you (My namesake Salivern Diago on Europa)

If the original owner didn't care enough, neither should you. It's like asking for "Black only" fountains to be preserved for posterity. Let it die.. write a book if you want to keep the history.

Meh tbh not overly bothered, just Guildstones are limited now and nice to keep a record of the early guilds. As I said, I'm not partiularly bothered if I get it or not, just dont want it to vanish.

No one did anything to protect all the other guildstones that have decayed in the past...so I don't see why this one should be considered special.

I wouldn't go as far as the last poster, and equate it to a black-only fountain, but I just don't see the urgency in this.

No one prevented my guildstone from decaying after I was hacked and the tower it was placed in front of eventually decayed...and that guildstone was placed on the very first day guildstones were available.

In fact, the GMs would not even acknowledge the fact that my guildstone was on the freakin' steps of the tower that had been stolen from me the same freakin' day!!!! (still makes me angry...it was MY GUILDSTONE outside MY HOUSE...it was OBVIOUS!) They wouldn't even redeed it and give it to me, even though it was MINE. They didn't do this for me when I asked a second time when the tower went IDOC either.

So, no...I don't think they should preserve this guildstone, unless they want to find a way to replace the PoV guildstone for me.

Its all down to the GM's once again. Its a shame we cant do anything about sorting the GM's out one way or another...

My point was made in extrema, but you agreed with the ghist of it. No favors for anyone. This wasn't a bug, this is life.

And I'm serious about writing a book about the guild.. sometimes it is neat to read all of the books from 8 or 9 years ago. That is what gives history to a shard, not a stupid guildstone that nobody knows where it came from.

I dont know the guild tbh, I remember seeing them around but thats about it. Just dont want it to go forever ya know
