Rule: Add one thing, and remove one thing, from the game. Can be items, gameplay mechanics, features, whatever.

I always find these sorts of things interesting to read feedback on.

Try to remain in the specific.. i.e. instead of "remove overpowered things in PvP", stick to something more specific like "remove concussive blow" or "add cooldown to greater cures."

And go :D

Add: A new unique bardic songbook that with a certain total of music+one other bard skill allows you to have spells for heal/cure/travel/nightsight/invis/direct damage/area damage/buffs/debuffs. Ranging from 50 music/50 something else for heal & the lower effects to 480 total for the most powerful effects.

Remove: All those little twigs in fel that make you rubberband.

Love that idea (about bard songs)...perhaps instead of having to have just one bard skill + music, the songs could be tied to different skills. (ie: Direct damage song tied to Provocation, while invisibility song is tied to Peacemaking)

Thats another good consideration.

I think for new players it would help to have some abilities at starting levels (hence the 50/50).

For me? Hmmm.

Add: Customized shape version of normal furniture. (i.e. you could take a plain low table, and make it 3x5, or 4x7, instead of just the default shape.)

Remove: This is a hard one. But if I Just had to randomly close my eyes and pick one of the many things..... *reaches into bag, blindfolded*.... lessee... monster/pet/npc chainspelling. Make them have realistic cooldowns between shooting off spells. Nothing like poisonflamestrikeenergybolt death by monsters.

Add: New items that occupy the quiver/cape spot that are useful...no more having warriors that are not archers running around with quivers.

Hen, you misspelled "Felucca" in the "Remove" line. And, we could have done without knowing your sexual fantasies in the "Add:" line.

In all seriousness, though...

Remove: Non-con PvP (make it a toggle, that functions all facets, that can only be changed when you don't have any active counts, and no sooner than an hour after your last PvP damage inflicted - and it must be toggled "On" to enter T2A or Fel Dungeons)

Add: heavy overland monster spawn (more than what used to exist before the Tram/Fel split)

I like the remove Cohesion on gates, god I cant stand that.

Anyways...

Add: Can it be a add back? Bounty System if so. If not: PIRATE EXPANSION! i know its not one thing really, but the seas need to be populated again! ARGH!

Remove: People who think they are gods because they killed you...I dont need to be called noob every time I die...Seriously though: Trammel. And im a trammy, I still dont like it.

I thought I was the only one who found it strange that when your pet see's you take a dirt nap they just keep munching away at monsters until they die also.. You'd think pets (especially the ones smart enough to command magical abilities...?) who also be smart enough to say "feet get moving" when they are critically injured and looking down the sights of death.

Diablo-esque display ... the display of everything known about a piece of armor or whatever. Make Arms Lore (how worn is this ... can I repair it?) and Item ID (is this a slayer? does it have DI?) worthwhile on a crafter again.

Add - A toggle in the UO Options box to mute animal (especially horse!) and bard (especially noobs at the bank practicing for hours) sounds. like what UO Assist has. it would be nice to have that option in UO.

Remove - Permanent night sight for elves. i wish that was a toggle option too. i love how my house and how the towns look at night with the lights on. be nice to enjoy that as an elf.

Or at least that they would be able to either step over or go around twigs and pebbles and what not.

I mean, some of them have WINGS!!!! Can they really not clear that waist-high shrub??

If you have high artifice and tinkering, you are capable of making stronger, more combat ready golems. This would essentially make an alternative pet class, though I would imagine them being slightly less powerful than a tamers pets all around. The golems would also have a built in cooldown timer to prevent players from constantly pumping out golem after golem as soon as one dies. This wouldn't be a replacement to taming in any way. Taming would still have the most powerful pets, but this would give players who love golems something useful to use outside of mindless weapons training outside of luna... speaking of which.

Remove: The ability to gain non-crafter skills inside a city. Impossible. Go macro somewhere else, noobs! ;)

I never really liked the idea of Golems. The whole robotic theme of LBR was sort of out of place in UO in my opinion.

I'd rather see the devs make summons more useful. I think a player with 120 magery and 120 Spell Weaving should be able to summon a balron...one that cannot just be dispelled.

Mages need some love in this game...and this would certainly level the playing field in PvP a bit. (all warrior/archer/tamer templates are now free to disagree and hope like hell mages don't gain the ability to summon ballies!)

* On a side note...has anyone else played Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II?? It would be AWESOME if EA would make our Balrons look like the Balrog in that game!!!! *

Actually I would like to see 'zones' installed where you could recall, but then you'd have to actually, you know... TRAVEL to your destination.

I think the only thing I'd add to that is make it so accounts and recalls are bound to houses. I still think it would only be fair to allow recall there.

Yes please and yes please. And yes please. EV and summons are the only *consistent* way for a mage to be doing damage.... otherwise you're talking about running around, invis'ing, flamestriking, running, and trying to work in meditations here and there as you run out of mana. Yet any serious mob can just slap a summon away like a pixie swat. What's the point of a powerful summon that only works on weak mobs? *Scratches head* never understood that. With taming in existence and the fact that tamer pets can tank for extended periods of time in hard battles, I fail to see how mage summons needing to actually be killed, not just dismissed/dispelled instantly, would somehow be game-imbalancing. They're nothing like serious tamer pets in terms of damage or ability to take damage anyway, not to mention the difficulty in healing them. (Most mages do not even bother.)

If a mana dump put out enough damage to be worth always being a back line support class and meditating between burst damage, okay. But I very much feel relegated to support role in the midst of tamers and well equipped melee.

Remove: Character Transfer.... changed my mind from my original "take".

Add: The ability to resmelt the new colored invasion armor into their colors of ingots (retain color after resmelting) although the ingots themselves would retain the proerties (or lack thereof) of Iron.

Actually, I'd rather we bards NOT get spell-type books. If we want some limited spell abilities we can add a touch of magery and move on.

However, I don't mind adding spell or affects to instruments that we use, based on the skill we execute. I'd love to have a 50% fireball casting lute for provoke, or a 50% curse on discord for instance.

Add: Player driven overland and underland spawning systems. Doing "bad" things or otherwise assisting monster spawns should make the spawn "pool" worse. Clearing spawns, doing "good" things should decrease the spawn "pool". Not collections per se, but a global system whereby spawns are no longer static and simple to deal with. Think champion spawns, but on a much larger scale, and accessible to everyone. The progressive spawns of the past few invasions are a good example, but I think they should be much more extensive and shardwide. Specialized captains, lords, and kings would eventually spawn to "lead" their followers on attacks, possibly even on each other ala terathan/ophidian.

Delete: Factions. It really needs to be redone and much more interesting to all parties (Not just pvpers, and not just Felucca.)

There's already a cool-down/restriction on how many golems you can create, from memory, I think it's 2 a day or something? I seem to remember being annoyed by that when they were more popular and I used to sell them.

Add: I'd like to see a golemeer/controller revamp.. Tinkering & Arms Lore being the pertinent skills. Exodus Overseers and Minions also; overseers using 2 control slots, minions 5. Briefly after LBR there were golemeers but people took it too far (hunting elder gazers with two golems and a packy) and it was nerfed to oblivion. I'd like to see it looked into again. I have loads more ideas but suffice to say here "make golems more than training dummies".

Take: Remove the backpack rustle sound, or make it less of a cacophony. Also, that inscription sound just seems to piddle on forever, hate it. And crates, that's a really annoying sound, make it more like the drawer sound or something. Remove the "Headless One" growl and restore the original squeaky noise.

I think making a war-golem would be sweet. I've seen it in other games.

Lineage II has two kinds, one that damages and one that acts like a battering ram.

I'd rather see mechanical stuff as opposed to bright neon colors.

Also...I wish there was a way to move things in your house, and only inside your house, without weight restrictions. Leap frogging chests full of crap up a set of stairs is not easy.

If I want to change my house...even a slight change, like adding a door...it's an hours long process. It shouldn't be.

Add: New sounds for Jungles and swamps. Every freaking time you go near a jungle or swamp, it's the same ridiculous jungle loop with that damn chirping sound and the squealing (monkey?). It's a tiny, one second loop and it's obnoxious.

Away with it.

Remove: Giant beetles and replace them with something a bit more flavorful and fitting to the world (same functionality, perhaps a horse drawn carrage). Seriously, whos bright idea was it to make the best crafter pet a freaking giant insect. It's beyond silly, yet people just accept it as fact.

Giant riding beetle = something you would see in star wars. It's a joke.
