is there even a slim chance of breaking an item when you imbue it

I can't seem to find this answer in any of the official threads from the developers.

Hopefully, there's a zero percent chance of breaking the thing you're trying to imbue and that all you do on failure is burn up the ingredients that you were trying to imbue with.

This was mentioned before, iirc there's no chance to break the item with imbueing.

However, once done, you can use the current enhancing system to further enhance the item with special materials if you so wish. Enhancing may break the item just like now.
