Need help on housing

My neighbor's house just fell. I want to place a large house (15x15) in that lot, so I opened the third account. But when I tried to place a house, the system said I can't because the new player needs to be 15 days old to place a house.

My question is if the new player can receive a house immediately. Or a new player also needs to wait 15 days to buy a house. (My plan is to transfer a house to the new player. Then use the old account to place the new house. I can't test it because I have to throw many items out first to store items currently on my vendors. If I could get the new house immediately, I won't mind throwing things out now. But I need to know if my strategy works.)

Thanks for any answer from vetern players.

from the playguide: "Players are allowed to own one house per account. The house must be placed by a character that is at least 15 days old. "

hmm ... I would read that as meaning you can have one traded to you if you're younger. But I've never tested. Touching houses scares me.

*waits for someone with more experience to clarify*

DuttyD is correct.
You cannot accept a house in trade, nor place unless your character is 15 days old..
I recently began another account and had to wait out the 15 day timer to receive a house. So nothing has changed recently.

Another option, if possible, would be to take your existing house beside that plot and expand the size (if it isn't already maxed) you can do this by standing next to your house sign and saying "I wish to resize my house"

You than could take over some of that plot and once your other account reaches 15 days you could resize the original back to the size it was prior and place a plot with the other account.

Just an idea, but I don't know the situation.. so it may not work. :spider:

It is a good idea except

1. I don't have temporary storage.
2. I have to dismiss my vendors to resize my house.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Now it is decided that I have to wait for 15 days. Next question is how EA counts 15 days.

I open my new account on Sunday. When could I place or trade a house? Is it two weeks on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday? Thanks again!

I want you guys' opinions to see if this works.

Right now I have two accounts. Player A holds house X. Player B holds house Y.
I open a new account with player C on Sunday 1/18. I suppose player C can place house on Monday 2/3.

This is what I plan to do:
On Wednesday 1/21, player A place new house Z. House X is condemned but I do nothing until Tuesday 1/27.

On Tuesday 1/27, player A transfer house X to player B. House Y is condemned but I do nothing until Monday 2/3.

On Monday 2/3, player B transfer house Y to player C which is now 15 days old.

Do you think this could work? I assume the condemned house won't fall for 7 days and push the waiting period to 6/7 days extreme (24 hours x 6).

Once again, thanks for all opinions and suggestions.

Yes that sort of thing works. As long as each account ends up with only one house is the main thing.

I have one more housing question for you guys. I want to test the placement on test center (TC1). Before I commit, the system gave me a warning that if I commit, all my houses in other shards will be condemned. Is the warning serious? It is test center!

I am executing the strategy to round robin transfer my houses among my accounts. And I can't believe people will do.

As you know by reading the earlier posts, I have to wait 6 days to transfer the house after it was condemned. Today is the 6th day. Last night at 2 AM when I went to bed, my house was "greatly worn". This morning when I woke up, it turned to "in the danger of collapse". The funny thing is that I saw many packed horses surrounding in my house but no owners in sight. Around noon, I executed the transfer command. Then people unhidden themselves, then opened the gates to send their packed horses home. I just can't believe people camping for at least 3 or 4 hours at my house. (And got nothing.)

In the past week, I have talked to people see me moving, and told them the house will be transferred to my other account although it appeared to be collapsing. Don't people believe me, or they want to take a chance to see if I forget?

may have not been the people that you told that where there...

Also i have seen Campers at IDOC houses telling me they are friends of the owner or the owner himself and that it wont be falling just to get the loot for themself
