Faction Points.

How about they change this so that someone that is -6, can't take the killshot on me and gain 20 points. There should be something in place like, you can only gain as many points as what you already have, minimum 1, maximum 10% of your opponent. Does this not sound more reasonable? Because I know that after that person steals my points from rat mages or another player, or a group of players, the next time I kill him, he STILL WONT GIVE ME ANY POINTS. Earlier today I killed 12 people in a row, [different people, not the same one 12 times.] and I got a total of 18 points from all of them. I was in despise finishing a baracoon and 4 rat mages spawned on me, an archer that was IN STATLOSS popped me for the killshot and got 18 points from me, and make that double because he was opposite my faction. This archer has never dropped me a point, EVER, in the numerous times I have killed him. Why should I slay an entire guild of minax, and lose it all on a fluke death to someone in statloss who cant even give me a SINGLE point when I kill him? With this system the incompitent arent rewarded for stealing killshots. And it would actually take work to build up to be able to take a vet factioner for his full 10%.

no offense but given the level of point farming, I seriously doubt anyone cares about 18 points.

Try using Tracking... learn to deal with 4 rat mages... Were you alone spawning? Curious as to why the spawn that popped wasn't automatically killed...

Have you tried using poison fields on yourself so if they spawn they walk away from you... giving you time to kill them.

The statloss archer shouldn't be at fault for your mishap and lack of paying attention to your surroundings.

Would you have done the same if you were the archer? Seeing someone being attacked by spawn... low on health... easy prey. I sure would have.

I wouldn't have killed him, I would have helped him kill the rats first. But that's because as has been mentioned, points are pointless (heh). They always have been, ever since factions was designed. Point mules made this so, and to a certain extent, ganking.
