Can we please get Security on Anhks of sacrifice

Fel custom houses with anks in them can be broken into. All other methods of entry have been fixed in the past. The anhks need to have security settings on them so we can still have them but also prevent evil doers access to our houses with us no way to combat them. If you are going to say use detect hidden, and ban well if oyu are logging ni and someone with bad intentions is already there and has a greater draggy you will be dead before you even see the game window. And dead players cannot ban or use detect hidden.

I'd like to know too. I haven't seen anyone get into any house they weren't given access to. Even tried just now myself to make sure.
You can't even walk up to a house with an Ankh near the front steps and be offered a res from it.
I'd like to know what this guy's talking about.

I believe it might be that you can bring up a context menu from outside and it will rez you right in front of the ankh, thus teleporting you inside the private home.

But I don't have one, and I don't have a private home, so someone will need to verify that this is, indeed, the issue at hand.

I rezed myself with an ankh in a house im accesed too. I did it on the lvl below the ankh and i did not get ported to the ankh. Dont know if that helps.

I am not sure if his house is private.

But i know of a "trick" IDOCers use when houses that are public but have the doors set to no acsess still get inside to check them out since ghosts can walk through doors.

so if he has a public house with locked doors all they have to do is walk in as ghost ten ress on ankh and voila...works with Pally AOE ress also btw.

And its not an exploit or cheat...its just using the normal game mechanics

Sorry - of course house is not private its public.

The last two lines just explain an scenario that could happen.

Ghosts can walk into any public house thru the doors unless its custon and only uses teleporters.

There is no menu on the anhk other than lock carma / resurect.

To furthur explain the scenario -

I know a guy who goes out and does spawns alone to gather SOTs, they have a house public with an anhk in it, its public as there are vendors used to store BODs, but the doors are set to a higher level. So in order to get at this guys loot I could sit outside and constanlty efield the doorway OR I could just kill myself, walk inside, get ressed, call some pets in and invis in the entrance way and wait. Taget comes home walks inside and wala dies to a barage from pets. I loot him clean use leave house before he can boot me.

I know this set of factors might be rare but possible.

Its a simple request to have security on anhks.

Not a bug but i submitted one anyhow, who knows.

Not the Anhks fault you are trying to get around some normal game mecanism. A public house are set to be open, this just takes away the bug/ feature to use doors to keep it private.

ROFL. Make the house private and store the bods like normal. If you want to bypass storage by having your bods on vendors then deal with the consequences.

Heres a hint. You say they are hidden inside the doors right. Well go to your steps dont walkin the door his detect hidden target the steps. In your own house u have 100% detect even on the steps. Funny the guy can find a way to bypass storage but not a way to find it people are in his house.

If people are waiting outside and inside then they have no life. That is also easily figured out. Mark a rune away from your house not right next to the door. Precast recall run up and see if people outside hit you. Or go to a inn log out get a character thats hidden in your house detect hidden and ban the tamer not hard.

If detect hidden reveals him, and you have allnames showing, you will see his name immediately onscreen. Have "I Ban Thee" macroed (you should have already) and you can ban a person just from their name onscreen, you dont have to target the actual char.

I ahve banned peeps from my house and not even been on the same floor with em *grins*

If a house is set to public, but doors r set to friend or higher, I dont think its right that a ghost can walk right in. They should have the same restrictions as alive ppl when it comes to locked doors & teles

Just for your info a stealther can also get in by following you in after you open the door. Use a teleporter instead of doors.

*chuckles* That is always good for a laugh! I have suprised a few folks like that. I never take anything... except that once. Mo'gluk chased me all over the house. I did give it back. Good times.

You guys are making a way bigger deal out of this than you need to. All he's asking is for the Anhk to have security... Its not a out of this world request. Chests have security, Doors, Fountains of Life, Beehives.... just about everything. Forges looms and stuff like that dont but thats alittle different, people cant kill you with them or steal your items. Its not that crazy to want the anhk to have it. If it did have security and you wanted to be a nice guy then click anyone can use.

Just an FYI

For extra sneakiness, you can remain invisible throughout by using the house sign gump - have it open and as soon as you reveal a player you can ban them without even being seen. I once banned someone from 3 houses without him knowing anything about it, hid in one and had the menus for the other 2 houses open. I just went through them all banning my last target.

I'm not quite old enough to have one of the 10yr ankhs, but I guess it's fair enough to ask for a security setting. And also to ensure that security settings on doors in a public house apply to ghosts too. At least in Tram. In Fel I'm not a supporter of private locked up housing, it just makes house hiding far too safe for the cowards who engage in it. Always had my houses public unless I was decorating them, and even then I only tend to lock a house because it looks a mess

It is no exploit to store Bods on vendors. It says it is completely legal in the rules, and specifically states it as such.
