This is soo anoying... please help us.

"Codex of Wisdom" keeps opening when we hit "f1" - the macro assigned to "f1" works, but this annoying book opens up blocking the screen.

Specifics:

we are using UOA
we have tried checking for other macros assigned to "f1" in both UOA & the options menu on the paper doll - found none.

we have toggled the "f lock" key and have no change.

if we hit the "play macro" in uo assist, the "codex of wisdom" does not appear & the macro plays properly. The "Codex" only appears when we hit the "f1" key. - this leads me to believe that it is something within the UO program?

What makes the "codex" become the "lost codex" ?

f1 is a default key for 'help', so that's what uo uses it for, it's not listed. The way to block it is to assign an in game macro to it, which will over ride it.

While we are on the topic of annoying gumps on the screen - how do I get rid of that little grey mouse icon on the screen (the one that should be part of the options menu)?

Options... mouse (upper right)... SCROLL DOWN to kill "display item properties icon."

go into 'options', click on the tab with the mouse icon, scroll down to 'display item properties icon', uncheck it.

Umm, no it's not. Just made a new character in the 2d client and insurance renewal is most definitely not turned on.

Edited to add: I just made a character using the KR client and it seems insurance renewal is also not turned on automatically when you use KR. I couldn't figure out how to check on it in KR, but switched clients and checked. It was not turned on.
