"A ferret imprisoned in a crystal?"

I have a tamed ferret and one I received from this item. The tamed Ferret has better stats and has had zero training. Heck they are even the same color. Is there anything unique to this version of a pet ferret? At least the squirrel is albino.

I don't think it's anything special, I'm more of the mind that it was put in since real wild ferrets can only be obtained in the Prism of Light Felucca. So many folks are either afraid of Fel, or avoid it for the annoyance factor it brings at times.

That's just it - it doesn't even look different than the normal ferret. I think Nexus may be on the right track. I already have 2 ferrets I tamed myself so I guess I won't bother myself looking for another one trapped in crystal.

unless something changed, the 'crystal' pets are auto bonded (insta bond) where as the tamed ones must wait the week in stables before bonding.

the major drawback to Fel, other than PKrs is not being able to 'push-thru' things/people.

Nope - they are the same color as te normal ferrets... I have multiple of both. ould be cool if this were the case though.

Now I know this does not make it so, but I am curious if the other descriptions are correct and if there might be some bug or UOGuide has it wrong...

Save for the fact mine has less training than my normal tamed (untrained) ferret. So it is in every way just like my bonded normal ferret only I did not have to wait the week for bonding...

Well I dont know about other peoples but both my dog and albino squirrel were NOT fully trained. They are now cos I've trained them but if fully trained is in the description it is in error. No idea about the ferrets got no room to have one.

Oh and my Grizzled Mare was not fully trained either.

They were not suppose to be fully trained. According to the UOGuide reference, only the Ferret, Grizzled Mare, and the Swamp Dragon special pets are fully trained. Nothing else.

Edit: Perhaps fully trained in only certain areas? Or maybe they are bugged so they suffer a penalty on their skills once they are "trained and bonded"
