Account hacking!!!

I have not either. I could just be lucky, but I also make it an iron-clad policy to give absolutely nobody my password for any reason. EA/Origin or whoever is running the show has said several times there is never, ever ANY reason they would need your password.
In fact, any email asking you to "confirm" a password is fishy as low tide.
There are many friends and family members whom I love dearly, but I would never give them my Ultima Online password either, because there is absolutely no reason they need it. And although I believe with all of my heart they would no betray me, they could somehow let it slip or whatever. If I tell nobody and I know 100% taht I never did, I know my password is absolutely safe on that front. Zero percent chance because only one person on the planet knows it -- me.
Naturally there are other ways, like keyloggers and trojans to acquire a password from someone. But these are usually easy to spot and avoid -- again, to promote my doctine of internet xenophobia -- NEVER run an executable from a program that cannot be reliably traced back to a major company. Running an unknown executable from someone else who you know plays UO is just grotesquely careless and stupid. Remember the lengths foolios will go to to dupe you in the game.... is it any surprise they'll sink so low outside of it?
On that note, the only upside to account hackings are those instances where someone gets a new executable, script, or cheat from someone else in UO because they are told it will help them cheat or speed up or whatever. In those specific cases, those idiots deserve what they get and I think a good laugh should be had by all.

I'm sorry but I think this thread is rather inappropriate. It appears that you are making fun of the people who have been hacked. Being hacked is not a funny, it is very serious and should be treated as such. Of course, this is only my opinion.

Well let's see you have as much as admitted that you have never been hacked, correct? So of course you would be insensitive to those who have.
I disagree with many of your posts but usually they aren't in as bad taste as this one is.
And you might want to change your title so as not to mislead others such as myself since it is titled "Account hacking!!" Not "No Account Hacking!!".
But then, if you don't want people to reply if they disagree... why make a post in the first place? I just can't follow the logic. Unless it was to purposefully make a post making fun of the other people who have a legitimate problem, or to garner attention.
Yes the majority of the people who HAVE been hacked probably made some mistakes along the way in not protecting their account - but they do have a right to "vent". I know I would vent about it if I was hacked... it would plain out suck. So they came here to see if anyone else was sharing in their pain - and there are many! Knowing you're not alone in a situation is comforting, regardless of the hardship that befalls you.
